RIMOUSKI, Que. -- Nikita Jevpalovs forced extra time with a goal at 17:08 of the third period and then scored in overtime as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada rallied past the Rimouski Oceanic 8-7 on Tuesday to advance to the third round in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs. Ryan Tesink also scored twice for the Armada, who trailed 4-0 after 20 minutes of play, while Samuel Hodhod, Marc-Olivier Roy, Christopher Clapperton and Danick Martel each scored once. Peter Trainor and William Couture had a pair of goals apiece for the Oceanic and Sebastien Sylvestre, Tyler Boland and Michael Joly added the others. Samuel Montembeault stopped 14-of-17 shots in 52 minutes of relief to earn the win for Blainville-Boisbriand. Etienne Marcoux allowed four goals on 11 shots and was replaced by Montembeault to start the second period. Philippe Desrosiers gave up six goals on 25 shots for Rimouski before giving way to Olivier Tremblay, who kicked out 9-of-11 shots in 26 minutes of relief. The Armada will face the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in Round 3.
