Seeking to win consecutive games for the first time in nearly two months, the Wild will try to stretch their home winning streak over the Oilers to 16 straight games this evening at Xcel Energy Center. Minnesota halted an eight-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 3-2 shootout victory over St. Louis, bringing to an end a skid that dropped the club to 12th overall in the Western Conference. Though the Wild did pick up a spot in the standings with the win, they now have nearly no shot of making the playoffs as they trail the eighth-place Blackhawks by 10 points with just six games remaining.
