Boston Bruins forward Shawn Thorntons appeal hearing for his 15-game suspension will be held with the National Hockey League on Friday morning. Thorntons agent, Anton Thun, confirmed on Monday that his client was appealing the punishment, which was given to Thornton for punching and injuring unsuspecting Penguins defenceman Brooks Orpik two Saturdays ago.
