"HOT FOOT" JASON MEYERS ADDS MINI-GOLD CUP AND OTHERS TO SCHEDULE
Still Needs Votes for Alltel All
Star Competition; Enter to Win iPod Nano
CLOVIS, Calif. (March 5, 2008) – With the World of Outlaws (WoO)
announcing today that they have canceled this weekend's events at Volunteer
Speedway in Bull's Gap, Tenn., Jason Meyers and the Elite Racing Team made the
decision to point the hauler back towards the westto allow him to compete with the Golden State
Challenge series.
RETURNING TO THE MINI GOLD CUP
After the announcement of the rainout, the winner of two WoO races in
2008 started making phone calls, beginning with Crew Chief, DJ Lindsey.Knowing that the GSC races would provide
valuable track time for both the driver and the brand-new, self-built/designed
KPC Chassis cars, the decision was made to head to the Mini Gold Cup event in
Chico, California.
"I won my very first sprint car race at the Mini Gold Cup in 1999," said
Meyers."We always look forward to
coming back here to run this race and are definitely looking forward to
participating this weekend."
CALIFORNIA DREAMIN'
In addition to the two day event at Chico, Meyers and the Elite Racing
Team will be participating in the March 14th event at Ocean Speedway
in Watsonville, Calif., and the March 29th event at the Thunderbowl
Raceway in Tulare, Calif.
With the WoO event at Tulare being rained out two weeks ago, Meyers is
excited to race at the track that he calls his "home track," as well as the
other two facilities that he will be competing at over the next month.
"The Golden State races that we will be running will give us the
opportunity to get some track time at race tracks that remain on the 2008 World
of Outlaw schedule, along with giving us an opportunity to do some further
testing with our new chassis and further develop our design," noted Meyers. "In
addition, we always look forward to racing in front of our California fans and
sponsors."
VOTING REMAINS OPEN UNTIL MARCH 16TH FOR ALLTEL ALL STAR
CHALLENGE
By virtue of his win during the races at Volusia Speedway Park a few
weeks ago, Meyers has been named a candidate for the first ever Alltel All Star
Challenge, a voting process that pits every winner from all nights of racing
action at Volusia against each other in an online voting contest for a chance
at a $12,000 bonus prize.

Meyers. "If you, the fans, vote me as the Alltel All Star, you can enter
