The FASTRAK Racing Series will go into its 13th consecutive year being the dominant force in the world of (crate) pro late model racing on the touring and weekly level. The off season means no off season at all, it’s prepping and scheduling and trying to set the bar to be even successful than before. FASTRAK is excited to announce that it’s paying off for driver, teams but most of all fans in the “Buckeye State”. The Southern Ohio Speedway located in Wheelersburg has made an alliance with FASTRAK in an effort to grow more tracks in Ohio to see the potential in being weekly sanctioned. The Southern Ohio Speedway races every Friday night from April – October, their 2016 race season will fire up again on April 1st. Southern Ohio Speedway will be debuting the crates late models program for the first time at the facility that is operated by promoters Don and Robbie Harmon. They see the potential in being FASTRAK Weekly Racing Series sanctioned as it’s a “win-win” for the tracks, fans and the drivers running for even more bigger money than before. “I tell you we are really excited about this, FASTRAK is the best in the entire country and we’ve been following their success all over now it’s time for Southern Ohio to get involved,” testified TJ Layne – Southern Ohio Speedway Public Relations Director. “We officially worked out this deal on Friday and teased everyone a little Sunday but since then the response has been phenomenal with even Super Late Model and Steel Block drivers wanted to find out how to get engines and convert to the FASTRAK program at SOS in 2016, this is going to be really big,” concluded Layne. The season again gets underway with Southern Ohio Speedway on April 1st 2016 plus they are optimistic that other tracks in the area will see the true potential and jump on board with FASTRAK or (crate) racing in general to build up that area as well. The Southern Ohio Speedway is planning to be FASTRAK Weekly Racing Series sanctioned in 2016 and will allow many pro late model teams much more incentives and bonuses being involved with the #1 crate series going. DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIPS For every 3 tracks in a particular area, $2000 in point money for a local divisional championship (brand new for 2016) NATIONAL WEEKLY CHAMPIONSHIPS $10,000 to win and pays very thick through the top 10 teams from all the weekly tracks.
