September 17, 2012; McHenry, IL – For the next two Saturday Nights the teams of the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series will call Beaver Dam, Wisconsin home.  Two tracks located a mere three miles apart in Dodge County will host the final two events of a challenging 2012 season schedule.

First up is the rain delayed Jim Wipperfurth Memorial race to be held at the Beaver Dam Raceway.  Originally scheduled for April 28th, the memorial event was postponed until this coming Saturday September 22nd.  Oddly enough Beaver Dam Raceway has been the only track on the 2012 season schedule to suffer rainouts, also losing a show on August 4th.

The Wipperfurth Memorial race will mark the third appearance of the 2012 season at the banked third-mile clay oval.  In the last race contested by the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints at the track back in June saw the main event come down to a thrilling duel between Mike Reinke and Mike Kertscher with Kertscher claiming the victory by two feet.

In the coming race this Saturday Night September 22nd both Kertscher and Reinke are fresh of podium finishes at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds where Kertscher finished runner-up to Bill Balog who had claimed his 17th win of the season during the running of the Frank Filskov Memorial.  Reinke finished third in that race having advanced the most positions during the main event.

All three drivers will be in action looking to claim top honors at the Jim Wipperfurth Memorial race.

In addition to the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints, the MSA 360 Sprints will also be on hand with appearances expected by 2012 champions Jeremy Schultz from the Plymouth Dirt Track and Ben Schmidt from the Manitowoc County Expo Raceway.   It is quite possible Schultz pull double duty racing both his 410 and 360 sprints during the program.

The Badger 600 Micro's will also participate in the show. Pits open at 3:30pm, the grandstands open at 4:30pm and racing is scheduled to start at 6:30pm.   General Admission for the show is $20.00 per adult, Students 6-12 are $10.00 and Children 5 and under are admitted free.

Additional information about the race can be found at the track website located at www.wismotorsports.net or by calling the track at (920) 887-1600. Beaver Dam Raceway is located on Racetrack Road just east of the intersection of Hwy 151 and 33 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

One week later the season will conclude with the Dick Witt Memorial Race at the Dodge County Fairgrounds on Saturday Night September 29th.  The track known as the horsepower half-mile is among the fastest on the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint tour and cars have been clocked approaching 140 mph.  In the lone event head at the track earlier this season Justin Henderson made a thrilling last lap pass of Reinke to steal the victory.

Joining the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints will be the MSA 360 Sprints and area Modifieds.  Modifieds which are legal at Beaver Dam Raceway, Oshkosh Speedzone, 141 Speedway, Wilmot Raceway and other area tracks featuring Modifieds are welcome to participate in the event.

The pit area will open at 2:00pm, with the grandstands opening at 4:30pm.  Warm-up are scheduled to take place at 5:30pm. IRA sprint car hot laps take place at 6 p.m. with qualifying and racing to follow.

Admission for the event is for $20 adults, kids age 6-12 are admitted for $5, and children 5 and under are FREE.

The Dodge County Fairgrounds is located on highway 33, just 2 miles east of Beaver Dam and just west of highway 26.
