ARCTIC CONDITIONS & RAIN FORCE ELDORA SPRINT CANCELLATION
The March 31 “Don Branson/Jud Larson Classic” USAC National Sprint Car opener at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio has been canceled following a late-winter blast of arctic conditions at the 1/2-mile dirt oval and subsequent heavy March rains.
The National Sprint Car Series will now open April 14 and 15 at North Vernon and Anderson, Ind.
Eldora track officials indicated that the heavy rains have hampered pre-season track preparation efforts and after conferring with USAC officials, the cancellation decision was reached.
