Johnny Knoxville is wearing a vintage sprintcar t-shirt in a scene from Jackass 2. Can anybody identify the driver and or car?

22nd Annual Knoxville Nationals Promotion shirt.

Would say someone saw "Knoxville" on this shirt and dressed him in it, due to it's "retro"
look. Would find it highly unlikely he is a Sprint Car Racing fan in any form.

Sorta the same deal with Rachel McAdams in last years' Family Stone movie. When others pick your clothes just for show, who knows what they'll put you in.

That put's it somewhere along the lines of the VonDutch shirts....ask someone you see wearing one of these if they know who VonDutch is....I have yet to find anyone that knew about him.

Von Dutch..... There's a guy I haven't thought of in ages. I became familiar with him from reading Hot Rod mags in the 60's and 70's. Quite the pinstriper and a strange bird to say the least, but extremely gifted in many forms of the arts. Just about everytime I see one of those Flying Eyeball key chains I think of him.

A short story about him while he was living here in Phoenix in the early 70's. It seems that he slept in a open coffin at the time, which I one of the reasons that I remember him and the story. To say that he was anti-social is an understatement.

A local guy named Herb Cooper had built a new car (which was destined to win many races with local driver Gene Brown and others behind the wheel), and somehow had latched on to Von Dutch to paint it. I guess Herb had been warned about his odd behaviours and such, and told the guy at the shop, "Look, when he shows up don't say anything to him. Just help him load up the body and leave".

Dutch shows up, and asks the helper, "So what do you think would be some good colors?". The guy says how about black and white?

Dutch took about a half a second look, walked out, and never came back.
