Johnny Gibson said he had never seen anything like it in a sprint car race. A sprint car sitting on a catch-fence pole facing the back straight away, facing the 5,500 packed house, 12 to 15 feet off the ground. The driver got out of the car and crawled down the fence like it was a ladder. I seriously thought it was a cardboard sprint car advertisement of some kind, just thought I hadn't seen it all night. Then like everyone else, realized it was a winged sprint car sitting up there. No idea how they got it down, would have to get a crane for sure. We had to leave but they may have just left the car there and restarted the race as that fence is 30 feet off the back straight away. How it got up there I don't know and that far away from the racing surface, again, I don't know..
