After taking a week off for vacation in Cheyenne for the rodeo and Fort Collins/Denver for relaxation, I am back and trying to get caught up. The official press release page of tidbits has been added to with press releases emailed too me from USMTS, WoO sprint and WoO late model, USMTS, ASCS, USAC, POWRi as well as track and driver information. They are all posted here http://www.oklahomatidbits.com/pressrelease.cfm. There are pages and pages for your reading knowledge.

Mark down Saturday night, August 31st, on your racing attendance list as Tulsa's Danny Smith presents his annual "Iron Man" non-wing sprint event at Creek County Speedway. See flyer for more information. "The People's Champ" Dave Darland out of Indiana will be making his Creek County Speedway debut as he will pilot Danny's #00 "orange taxi" sprinter.

August 17th will see a diluted array of sprint and midget events in this state and Kansas. ASCS Sooner and Lone Star regions will converge on Lawton Speedway while the NCRA 360's and Sprint Series of Oklahoma will be at 81 Speedway. I-44 Riverside Speeddway in OKC will host the POWRi West midgets while Longdale Speedway will host a 305 ci vs 360 two-barrel event. Support what you can as those tracks are going to need drivers and fans.

It is backpack and school supply night at Lawton Speedway with everything running except the modifieds as the TOMS series will be at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore tonight. Two tracks trying to work together when it comes to the modifieds. Genius.

You sport mod drivers and fans, make sure you mark down October 18-19 on your calendars as Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo will be hosting a $10,000 to-win event as part of the Mark Rogers Memorial. Payouts and more will be released within the next couple of days and you will be able to get all the tidbits on this event right here on tidbits.

Stay viewed here on oklahomatidbits facebook page and please click "like" to get the count up. Also, don't forget my race website www.oklahomatidbits.com, established since 1998 and still rolling.
