$2,000/win & $300/start “FLAGS & FIREWORKS 25” Up Next for Sprint Car Bandits at 82 Speedway – SAT. JULY 6, 8pm!

Petty, TX (6/29/19) by DarinShort.com. Next up for the NCRA Sprint Car Bandits® series is a return to the very popular high banked & wide ¼ mile of 82 Speedway, located about 15 minutes west of Paris, directly on Hwy 82 in Petty Texas. The event will pay $2,000 to win and down to $300/start during the running of the ‘Flags and Fireworks 25’, Saturday July 6th at 8pm.

:30 SCB 6/15/19 ’82 Rewind: High-point driver and Minnesota transplant Will Eggimann would choose the high line to establish the early feature lead. With two- and three-wide racing throughout the pack taking place, 11th place starter Casey Burkham would continue his strong string of 82 Speedway SCB performances by picking off car after car. In the meantime, several great battles near the front of the pack would ensue with drivers such as Colby Estes, Scott Evans, Chad Wilson and Michael Day. Later in the event, with Eggimann still ripping the high line of the smooth, slick surface, Burkham would emerge through the pack in second place. A caution flag waved on lap 17 (of 25), with the final eight rounds going caution-free with Eggimann pulling away to a sizable margin at the checkers, collecting his second 82 Speedway SCB win in a row, along with $2,000.

BACK to JULY 6th: During intermission, we'll bring out all the cars* on the track (all divisions) after the heats with their flags waving from the cockpits to parade around the track while we play 4th of July music through the stands while we BLOW UP a bunch of fireworks from the infield! *Note that there are no passengers allowed in the cars during the Flag Parade and drivers must be fully suited up and belted in ALL cars.

In addition to the Winged 360C.I. Sprint Cars, there will be a full night of racing in the 82 Speedway divisions – each receiving added payback: $600/win each Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks and Texas Stocks! Plus $400/win each Eco Stocks and Eco Mods. (Note the Open Comp Mods will be OFF 7/6.)

Adult G.A. to this huge event is just $17!!! Kids 6-11 $5, Seniors/Military $15. Pits $35 (Ages 5 & Under $15). Sprint Cars will race 2nd or 3rd out in running order.

If you’ve yet to visit 82 Speedway, it is much closer to DFW than a lot of people think and is NOT the old Paris Speedway southeast of Paris. As a point of reference, including a quick fuel stop, you can get from the intersection of Bass Pro Shops/I-30/Bush in Garland to 82 Speedway in 80 minutes.

TRACK DIRECTIONS: Track is located about 1 mile east of Petty Texas right on Hwy 82, which is about 20 minutes east of Bonham and 15 minutes west of Paris. 16369 US Hwy 82 Petty, TX 75470. For track and details, go to www.82speedway.com or on www.Facebook.com/82Speedway .

I like to refer to 82 Speedway as ‘The Land of the XL.’ Translated, everything is XL size, such as the 60’ racing surface that is .26 miles on the pole (1/4 mile) then in the groove right at 1/3 mile. There are no walls around the entire track – with lots of runoff space wherever you’re racing, which leads to less tore up equipment. Over-sized grandstands that each have 0% obstructed viewing from whatever spot you choose to view from. Huge spectator and pit parking areas will greet everyone on their arrival. Oh ya, then there’s the track owners, Shelley and Tracy Peters who are some of the nicest people you’ll ever come across.

Bottom line, if you haven’t been there, here’s your chance on Saturday July 6th!

Come early for Sprint Car Bandits Fan Fest at 7pm (directly behind the grandstand), with the first green flag set for 8pm. Click www.82Speedway.com for more details, and interact on Facebook at 82 Speedway

Here’s more top-line event info:

-Pits Open 4:30pm, Grandstands 6pm

-Sprint Pit Meeting 6:30/Cutoff 6:45pm

-‘82 Draw Cutoff & Pit Meeting 6:45

-Fan Fest 7-7:30pm

-Hot Laps 7:30pm & Racing to Follow

-Adult GA $17, Kids 6-11 $5

-All Pit Passes $35

Here’s the purse structure for the SCB championship feature: $2,000 – 1,000 – 600 – 500 – 400 – 390 – 380 – 370 – 360 – 350 – 340 – 330 – 320 – 310 – 300…to start. All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. There is no entry fee, no series membership fee and a $20 nightly draw fee. Drivers should go to www.SprintCarBandits.com prior to arrival for complete rules, purse and procedures information.

This is also part of the www.SmileysRacing.com 4 Pack Bonus program that awards the SCB Fierce 15 teams with added bonus money, paid out for their support of the Series in increments of each ‘4 Pack’ of SCB events completed throughout the season. More details are posted at the series website. This is the 2nd event in this 4-pack, which will award each of the Fierce 15 members an added bonus of $100 just for making all four events. www.KoolTrikes.com will be putting up $50 to win each SCB heat race!

Note to drivers: all race teams must run Westhold transponders and RaceCeivers. Track rental is available.

82 Speedway offers a very strong base purse structure for all regular scheduled events (but note that some nights are higher payback, see event schedule for nightly details):

Texas Stocks, Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks (same purse structure, each division): $600 – 300 – 200 – 160 – 120 – 100 – 90 – 80 – 70 – 60…to start. See details below.

Econo-Limiteds & Econo-Stocks (same purse structure, each division): $400 – 200 – 160 – 120 – 100 – 80 – 70 – 60 – 50…to start. See details below.

82 Speedway non-qualifiers or non-starters will receive $30 each in all divisions. If a driver chooses to compete in more than one division on the same night, the driver must purchase an additional pit pass per division entered. On regularly scheduled events, if 11 or fewer cars in a division are signed in, the posted purse structure for that division on that night will start at 2nd place pay and continue down from that point on. If the races rain out before the completion of the heat races, hold on to your ticket stub, as it will be valid for the next scheduled race of same ticket price value (in other words, if tickets that night were $15, the next event you will have a $15 credit when you redeem your ticket stub from the previous event). The exact same procedure will be in effect regarding pit passes. If the races rain out after the heat races, the event is considered complete, and any remaining races will not be rescheduled and all drivers will receive start money for their scheduled division that night (for any of the feature events that rained out). There will be no grandstand tickets valid for a future date if races are rained out after the completion of heat races. Westhold transponders and RaceCeivers required in all racing divisions. Track rentals are available.

Click www.82Speedway.com or www.Facebook.com/82Speedway for more track details, schedules and news. Thanks to Shelley and Tracy Peters & staff for bringing us all such a FANtastic place to enjoy quality dirt track racing events!

Let's all get REVVED UP for what's going to be a GREAT WEEKEND of racing action to wrap up the 4th of July Holiday at 82 Speedway - just 15 minutes west of Paris, Texas right on Hwy 82!
