Decided to book hotels and go to this race. I've had some desire to go the past 2 years but I'm not the biggest late model fan. Plus I see them at the World Finals every November. With midgets being added to the program this year it was enough for me and some friends to make the trip.
Anyone have a review of how good the racing was for the late models? I'm not expecting spectacular racing as the track seems too small for LMs. But I recall seeing highlights with some decent side-by-side racing and a few flips.
Does anyone know if the midgets will be pitting indoors or where you can find this info? I don't think its on the website. I believe not all teams had an inside spot the last two years.

I love high level late models. Low level late models tend to take a hour to run a 25 lap feature. I tend to watch the big Lucas Oil races, they're so damn good. As far as the track size one of my favorite races of the year was the Jackson 100 at Brownstown and that place is a little bullring. That race was so f'ng good. Pearce and Davpenort side by side trading paint for the last 10 laps but they did it without dumping each other, something they can't do in NASCAR.

Have gone both years. And going this year. Look up clips from the Friday night feature in 2016 and the Saturday finale from 2017. In 2016 Shannon Babb won in a wild shootout at the end. Dome was electric. Last year he drove from 17th to 2nd ripping the top. Hit the wall one too many times and fell back to 6th
midgets will be awesome I’m guessing. I expect them to put on. Show similar to what they do at DuQuoin indoors
one but of advice. Do your eating and drinking before or after or be prepared to pay ballpark prices inside the dome.

Lates put on an amazing show actually. Mods are ok, hit or miss. I'd guess the midgets wont be as great as everyone hopes and probably be stuck to the bottom.
As far as food and drink, carry it in. They haven't checked ANYTHING for the first 2 years. Literally saw a guy carry in a cooler with a case of beer last year on Thursday night.
