After the Dream Team wins their third straight Tuscarora 50 (which I predict they will ) they should emeditely start seiing their goal on the 2019 Knoxville Nationals.
With nine months to plan and prepare they could certainly show up with a car to contend and Lance has already had some success at Knoxville and that would be the ultimate way to cap off his career.

It has nothing to do with planning. They have an 84 year old crew chief and most of the people on the team have other responsibilities outside of racing. They have an old transporter that would never be able go make the trip for a multitude of reasons and their program is built around the exact schedule they run. That car is ran on a very limited and specific budget. Aside from all that, they've all been there and done that and they're totally content with doing what they're doing. For them, it's mostly about fun and they have plenty of that without traveling real far from Sinking Springs, PA. Maybe that will change but I wouldn't count on it. They don't have a damn thing to prove to anyone.

The Dream Team is good....real good. But something happens to them when they cross the Pennsylvania/Ohio border....winners of the non-qualifiers race at Mansfield in April.
Best they stay home and pick and choose their races.

Maybe they could retire in Knoxville and race there for fun all summer. By the time the Nationals roll around they should have her all figured out and win it all. This way they wouldn't have to travel.
I mean I couldn't think of a better place for 3 sprint car guys with a car to retire than Knoxville,
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Triple xxxer they may be content but I am sure that Lance is like any other great driver the ultimate would be winning Nationals.just ask guys like Pittman ,Larson , Mccarl or others that have never won it.
Things like the hauler could certainly be worked out in nine months. And although Davey is older his mind and body seem to be in pretty good shape.

1 for 3 last week. I guess we'll consider that domination? I didn't realize this was baseball. ;)

They have a shot to be competitive and start up front. Realistically, if they rolled into town on Sunday of the Nationals, and ran the week, they have no shot to win. Hypothetically, if they raced there all year, they would be a bigger threat, but still not a realistic thought that they coud win.......short of an act of God----such as starting front row and a lock down, wet track.

The delusion here is strong.
Would the 69K have a shot at a Nationals win? Sure, it's possible. But not probable. I'd put probably 8-12 cars ahead of them and imagine that number could grow the more I think about it.
When was the last time Lance ran Knoxville? 2013, when he finished 12th in the Saturday C? I mean, c'mon, they're good at what they do but coming back to Knoxville and expecting to be a favorite is setting the bar too high.

We're seriously debating this topic again? The first four times wasn't enough?

Finished 8th in the A main the year before (2012). C’mon. IMO the 69k is a better ride than the 30c was.

+1
Then again, in these crazy times, it will take at least 7 times rehashing it before we can vote and move on with our lives.

Well considering they only ran against the Posse big guns two times last week (both Grove nights) not sure where you get 1 for 3 lol. Lernerville is not and never has been considered a posse track and I'm pretty sure no posse were there except maybe DD. 1 for 2 it is, lol. And that one was an ass whooping by the 69k. A team which I'm tired of seeing win, but an ass whooping, nonetheless.

'Bout a 9 on the ole tension scale Rube' (The Burbs)
Good teams. Good drivers. If you live in that region, you should enjoy it. All ya' all don't have to constantly defend them though. Yes, I can see the record books. Yes, I can plainly see when the WoO crosses into PA they face tough cars defending tracks they know very well. Yes, we all know the passion there. Yes, we all---including you---know when they venture away from PA we don't see much of them in the headlines. Not my opinion. "CHECK THE RECORD BOOKS! NO WHERE ELSE IN THE COUNTRY"------in your words. Nothing to be ashamed of or offended by. It's just fact. Just enjoy the show at home. I don't have sprint car racing within hours of me. I have no home turf to defend.
And Johnny Utah----sorry, we have to debate it again. Not the 4th time either----about 100th now. ;)

You should check the record books. Outlaws have an overehelming lead in the rivalry. Winning at about a 70% clip in PA over the past forty years if I remember right. And that's not bad compared to other areas, I woud agree with that.

FAR from a Lib. Outlaws at the Grove....last time I remember Steve Kinser is 9th in CAREER Grove wins (39) while racing there on the average only 7 times a year.
