Three day event starting Thursday this week. Looking forward to seeing the Lucas Oil 360 series with Hapertepe and Swindell breeze on through. Hoping local Jason Solwold gives them a solid run like he did a few years ago when he kept the big trophy here at home. I will only be able to go Thursday, but still excited to see a big field of 360s.

I'll be there all 3 nights sitting in turn 4 with my boys.

Will MAV-TV be showing any of it?  They have shown last years event 352 times since it happened or will I have to wait until next year and catch another of their 352 replays?  Go Sammy....

Someone on a different thread mentioned they saw the rudeen operation headed West in ND so I would assume yes since they run Joeys ride out of his shop in IN. Malsams stuff stays in WA I believe.

All 3 nights are covered live on the Lucas Oil Racing TV web site if you have that.  I imagine Mav will be taping for later airing.

Dirt Cup once was a Crown Jewel in 410 Sprint Car Racing yearly events. Teams that participated and won it was looked upon by fans and teams in America as a accomplishment one stides to obtail as a top driver and team in the 410 ranks of the World. Once the 360 cancer and lie started headlining this once proud event it has become no more than a saturday night race you find at any race track in America. Nothing special, purse half of what it was,  low crowd counts, no rain dates and honestly its insignificant.  Many of us in years past put this on our yearly planner as a must see.  Sorry to see such a once proud race and track become and join the ranks of Gold Cup.  Gold Cup once was a top 5 race in America and now like Dirt Cup its dissolved into less than a shadow of its self due to bad promotion and management.   Sad, very sad.  Look forward to all the 360 lovers and ones that believe the "great lie" that 360 racing is cheaper, Im sure your comments and insults are coming, especially from PA as they hold themselves as the "ALL KNOWING" fans in any and all matters concerning sprint cars.  No the POSSE isnt all you've convinced yourself it is.

P.S.  Have a good day kiddies :)

Thanks for turning a constructive thread into another negative hoseheads rant.  Nobody gives a shit that you don't like 360s.  It is a sad thing that the 410s have gone away, I agree with that.  Dirt Cup is still a great event though, and for the elitist sprint car "fans" that can't stop re-living their glory days, you are all missing some great racing.

Just the facts LImowreck, just the facts.

P.S. Not everything in the Sprint Car world is great, theres alot of things that could make it better if fans and teams demanded it.  Stop settling for crumbs when you could have the whole cake.

53 cars on first night. Sam Hafertepe dominates. Solid run from Hahn. Nice to see Robie Price amongst the early top 5 in points.

I knew as soon as the track started to really slick off during the B's that Hafertepe was gonna walk away with it.  Great racing otherwise though.

couldn't agree with you more but basically thats an issue nationwide.  without a new fan base shit goes down hill real fast.

but what i really is think its due to beitler and the $4.50 hot dogs ten years ago....lol

off to possee land for the first five days of 410 racin' on pa. speedweek schedule...

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...
