It's been a lifelong dream to start one of these posse threads. Is Mother Nature posse? Looks like she's gonna sweep the whole PA swing.

When the outlaws are in town, yes, otherwise the locals will boo the shit out of any weather conditions.

Really SAD when PA fans claim the rain as Posse!

Post of the year? Smile

On regular night at the Grove Hodnett (top achiever from down south) is an 8th place car...but he can still win in a 360.

Congrats on living one of your lifelong dreams!!!

Mother nature is not posse.  Most low pressure systems originate from the west or the south.  I would consider mother nature to either be from Cali, the northwest, or possibly out of the Gulf.

I know, sometimes these lows will clash a cold front in the PA region.  Now, even though we could consider this mother nature's crew chief, and many would now claim mother nature is posse, this low pressure system is indeed from outside of posse territory.  Because of this, no claim can be made for calling her posse.

Does this help clear it up?

But we get to watch them race because the fans where they came from are too cheap to pay admission to enough races to keep them home.

The Posse is breathnig a sigh of relief over the weather forecast. If it doesn't rain, I heard they were going to sneak in and turn the sprinklers on to flood the track like Bull Durham to avoid the beating.

I will compare when the Outlaws arrive in PA to the Stanley Cup Play-offs when everyone's game is up a notch or three.  Regualar season is average in both the Grove and the NHL but dang when the enemy shows up it's for real as it is right now in the NHL and should have been in PA....I remember one year I had 9 rainouts in PA, counting a few in Lernerville and I was just a visitor passing through with the big dogs.....

In no particular order and missing a bunch:

Kenny Weld, Jan Opperman, Doug Wolfgang, Kenny Jacobs, Bobby Davis, Jr., Van May, Jerry Stone, Bobby Allen, Paul McMahon, dare I say Tyler Walker, Jeff Swindell - but not for very long, Craig Keel, Dale Blaney, maybe a mention to Billy Pauch and Jeff Shepard - not from PA but close, there's lots more

Can't blame a guy for staying in one area and making money vs. beating yourself to death on the road - and, this year for sure -  watching it rain. Even the teams with the deep pockets gotta be feeling the pain this year.
