Looks more like a driver shirt than tribute to Walt. He had more than one driver. One with all his drivers named on it would be more of a tribute to him.

Dewease is synonymous with the 461.

Dewease is synonymous with the 461.

The Sprintcarunlimited article yesterday had this quote.

"Zearfoss didn’t have much of a chance, as Dewease was within .461 seconds on Lap 21. Two laps later, the two drivers were wheel-to-wheel coming down the frontstretch, with Dewease taking the spot in Turns 1 and two on Lap 24."

Nice touch..

I guess it depends on when you stated watching it. I remember others driving it. A shirt listing them and Dyer's accomplishments would have been a tribute to him.

I like LD. I have to agree with some others. This is a tribute to a great CAR owner, not a driver. Lance's name should be prominate on the side of the hood in a block letter, yes he was synonymous with the 461. Nobody questions that.  The top of that shirt needs to say Walt Dyer tribute. Going into the HOF, do you just mention 1 car owner ? I doubt it.

They should go to the Kings Royal. Eldora is nice & dry-slick in July. It could be 1986 all over again.

I think these are Dewease shirts meaning they were made for and sold by LD's apparel team. Still a nice tribute to the 461 and Dyer. Maybe they could have made Walt's name a little more prominent. I remember back in the 90's when Lance was driving the car they had a t-shirt with Walt Dyers Wall of Fame on the back with a potrait of a brick wall with all the drivers names that ever drove the 461 on the bricks.

These are Lances personal shirts they are selling. Someone else will be having the actual tribute shirts for the race.

How many do they have to sell to fund the 69k Knoxville Nationals trip? :)

Why can’t they use their prize money? I’d rather donate to worthy causes

It has very little to do with money or performance thoughts. It;s more about the totoer making the trek. If anyone knows this team, they still have the same old truck they have had for years and it;s smaller and might not hold up getting to Knxville. And also with Donny's headache issues and deal and Davey Brown's age...they don;t want to get that far form home and be stuck without a paddle. The team is already going to Mansfield, which is farther and even that is a stretch for them

2,000 mile round trip:  2,000 miles / 6mpg = 333.3 gallons. 333.3gal x $3.00 = $1,000.

2 hotel rooms for 4 nights: 2 x $150 x 4 = $1,200.

$2,200 / $25 = 88. So 88 T-shirts to cover the cost of fuel and hotel rooms haha.

No excuses now. :) If this team is so good wouldn't they likely be a shoe in for the A Main on Saturday? Looks like they could be in the black coming over to Knoxville with money left over to update the hauler...

The straight truck hauler is iconic. It should have it's own t-shirts.

If they come to Knoxville I will put all of them up at my house, free of charge. Bam! Just saved them $1200. I would be honored to have them stay.
