The NRA and Limaland in Ohio is about the only place where you can run any set of heads that I know of, just gotta have the gasket. SOD in Michigan you couldn't run All Pro heads this year (06) hearing next year could be different. ESS in New York is switching to ASCS heads in 08 I believe, that was in the rule book this year. That is all I might know.

I would have to have had my eyes and mind closed to ever be surprised.

Oklahoma City's Super Sprints run aluminum heads, but they aren't ASCS motors. I'm not altogether sure but I think they did away with cast iron a few years back. I think OKC has a motor rule in place these days. Not sure if it has always been that way. I don't know of many tracks that have an open rule but 1 thing is certain. There wouldn't be many.

At OKC we run a spec Brodix head that is supposed to flow better than the ASCS heads, but we can't run dome pistons. We used to run steel heads, then we went to worked steel heads, and now we have the aluminum specs.

I dont get that though, why have a "spec" head that is different than everyone elses? How much is it compared to brodix ascs? Can you buy them used from people? I just don't see the need for somthing different than what the nation is running. The only thing you are doing is making sure that outside people don't come in and cherry pick, and gaining cars has to be harder.

On the other hand, if a track isn't sanctioning with the ASCS, why would you want to pay the ASCS (through Brodix's license fee) for the "privilege" of running of running the ASCS spec head?
