Nobody can say the 69k team did not make a major improvement from Fri to Sat. But I wonder how much they learned for August? Not likely to see a track like Saturdays during the Nationals. Hope not anyway.

Yep, funny thing is that Donnie and Lance have always been one's to like their car set up to be fast at the end and better on the long green runs.

At tracks they’re familiar with sure. Kudos to those guys for making the trip though, amazing what theyve been able to do with an 84 year old crew chief and a driver many thought was over the hill a few years back.

Maybe not. But given the weather pattern this year would not be surprised to see it at least once.  Will be a level playing field for all. Just as it was Saturday night.

Could be a different track altogether and be nothing like those two nights.  Nobody knows until it happens.  So we will see.  Wish they did better on Friday but that is the way of it when you haven’t raced a track in over 10 years. Saturday they must have guessed wrong which way they thought the track was going to go.  Not a bad showing but I’m sure they know they have work to do.  Wish they would stay an additional week and get more notes but I also understand why they didn’t.

Then you have a very short memory.  I couldn’t begin to tell you how many times the words “dream team” have been uttered over the past 3 years.  I can’t remem how many times the PA locals have screamed “but only if the 69K was at THEE nationals.  Don’t feed me this line of crap that no one has said the 69K team was gonna kick everyone’s ass in Knoxville.  And for the person stating the Rider engine might not have been up to par I ask this.  How the hell did they get to the top of the board in warm ups?  I’d say they have plenty of motor.  They have simply been exposed as a pretty decent local team, but definitely not the dream team.

"Dream Team" is their nickname, thats all. "North Pole Nightmare" doesn't mean Bill Balog stays up all night with bad dreams. If you had a sense of humor you could even make a joke of it. Since I do, I'll do it for you: "Dream on...."

Posse fans are excited to see what he can do. I challenge you to find a post where somebody said they would "kick ass"

Every one has bad nights at Knoxville, no matter how good.  Look at Sammy, he was in the dash and running up front Friday night till he had an electrical issue.  Next night, bad time trial and doesn't even make it out of the B.  I'm not a Dewease supporter here in Pa, actually I get tired of seeing him win, but I was glad to see a good showing for them on Saturday.

hmm

All this talk of 69k kickin everyones ass at Knoxville looked like an also ran in time trials and heat race. Don't give me any shit that he has not raced there in 7 or 8 years the outlaws only race a hand full of times at the Grove a year also.

Well I had a long post typed up, but I just keep it simple here Jim. I counted results from the history available on the WoO website which is only back to 2011. The outlaws have raced at Williamg Grove 23 times since the last race lance ran at Knoxville in 2013. and back to 2011, they have reced the grove 40 times since the 69 car has been at Knoxville. Both of those race counts are not counting rained out events.

The outlaws have 23 races more experinece at the Grove than Lance at Knoxville in the same time frame. Considering Knoxvilles results for last year shows 18 races, which includes the outlaws weekend, ASCOC race, and Cappy Race, that is 1.27 seasons worth of experience at Knoxville that Lance is Lacking compared to Outlaws at the grove.

Additionally, back to 2011 the 69K car is lacking 2.22 full seasons worth of experience at knoxville than the Outlaws have at the grove. (outlaws raced Grove 40 times since 2011).

You comparing Lance at Knoxville to the outlaws at the grove is comparing apples to oranges, and you will get S*** about that. First night they were off as expected, but they about waxed them Satruday, car just seemed to fall off half way through the A, which will come with not much experience at that track lately. Complete 180 turn from Friday to Saturday.

BTW, I am no posse thumper, I never even been to PA, hell, I'm from where you're from!

They used their Davey Brown motor last night I think which means they'll be using the Rider tonight. A few loud mouth morons from PA have certainly done some shit talking but Rev is correct. The rational fans in PA know it's gonna be a tall order for the 69K to just show up there and whoop ass right out of the box like they do here at home. I'm just happy to see them go out there and give it a try and from what I've seen, the folks at Knoxville are honored to have them there. No need to make this a negative thing. Results don't matter. It's just cool that they loaded up and went out.

I figured they felt they had better take a "legal" motor to break in for the Nationals.

They took both motors to Knoxville and they had no problems either night. Way to be stupid dude.
