Tom Corbin

The elder statesman of the Sprint Car Clan out of Missouri that includes, Corbin, George Lasoski, Danny "The Dude" Lasoski, Jon Corbin, and Brian Brown. What a great racing family!

Roy Bryant in Red Forshee's car. All these pictures are from Jack Coleman

Were Pete and Red Forshe father , son Brothers or the same person? Mike Peters drove A Forshe Car a the first sprint race here in Tulsa in 1977, I think it might have been one of these with a cage added. It had Cross torsion bars and parrell bars on the rear and they could just unhook one and hook the other up, Luther told me he had never seen that

Thank you Duane for contributing these photos. These old racers have always been my favorite era. It almost brings a tear to my eye to see Forshee's #84 Sprinter and to remember pitting next to him on his 84th birthday at the Belleville Vintage Nationals and watching him lap after lap on the highbanks. On a side note the #7 Don Brown Sprinter is once again back with Keith "Flash" Barker and Brown was working on restoring it at the time of his passing.
