I agree with you Mr. Choate no one should have to kiss a promotors ass to race there , if anything else with not as many racers out there with the economy the way it is , looks like to me the promotors ought to be doing the ass kissing to get the cars there at there track, alot easier to go race and have fun when you feel like a promotor appreciates your business, one thing about appreciating your business is like you said , have set rules week to week,and a schedule to go by,plus i agree with you Ed is not near the promotor C Ray is, look at all Cray has done for racing in this part of the country, with NCRA , the Hutch Nationals and the countless Specials he has had and the number of years day in and day out he has done this, being in business for myself as well as you know , you have to stick with your word and follow thru with what you promise your customers, because believe it or not customers pay attention, just screw one customer over and your name is mud all over town......Enid proves my point, and thats to bad it could be brought back to some good saturday night races , nice facility, but most of the races and fans around here i have talked to say the same thing you said...and like your family my family has supported enid racing for over 50 years.

I have spoke to a lot of my racing friends/ fans/ owners this past weekend and all have said the same thing and agree that this guys EGO is way out of line. As one said, who cares about 2010 this is 2011 and he has already made a farce out of Enid Speedway this year and has yet to race cars once....
Of course he NEEDS to host some NCRA shows now, is my guess that without them his huge profit margin has gone out the window. the funny thing is that the stands would have been packed(even with the higher ticket prices) if he would have kept the USMTS show. All the other tracks raise the gate for USMTS and have NO PROBLEM filling the stands.
At least if C Ray had the track we would have seen awesome NCRA racing with sportmods, mods, sprints, and probably latemodels...
Im lost on one thing here, why would you wanna go IMCA sanction when there is only one track in Oklahoma.... Why not USRA, if your going to race on sundays, then you would get mods from other tracks racing for national points.(there are at least 5 or 6 USRA tracks in oklahoma) and it keeps your modifieds from having to change everything cuz now the rules are about the same to what Enid mods have been running.... just something I was thinking about
