BUZ. ,,,,,,,, The reason Winged cars don't do worth a damn at the PAS. ,,,, is because ,,,, the the tracks configuration was modeled after ASCOT. ,,,, Witch is where the most of us baby boomers cut our teeth on Sprint car racing. ,,, ASCOT was known as one of the most hardest tracks to learn on how to drive. ,,,, L O N G straight aways ,,,,,, TIGHT Turns. ,,,,,,As to where wing cars prefer wide turns ,,, with a little more bank to them. ,,,,This is the beauty of the PAS. ,,,, you just don't show up and go fast. ,,, Now the young guns that ran with the show on March 9th. [ first time on the track ] After 2 to 3 laps,,,,, these kids were HALLIN ASS. ,,,, they figured out the track surface QUICK. ,,, and were up and run-in 18 sec laps. at age 14 to 20. ,,,,, now I hate to say this ,,,,, If the world of outlaws ,,, can't figure out how to get around the PAS. ,,,, WOW. !!!!!!!!!!!. Like I said the ,, PAS was not configured for Wing racing. ,,,, with wing racing the cars go MACK 9 down the straight aways ,,,,, then drive into a tight left turn. ,,,, they are not made for that. ,,,, now I was not there . ,,, I don't care for wing racing. ,,,, But the show sounds like to me , ,,,,,, is the world of outlaws did not put on a potential show that you would have seen on a track as to were they could really put on a real ' World of outlaw show. ' ,,,,, And as to your comment. ,,,,, about track prep. ,,, your right there is no track prep that can fix the surface to make it any more friendly for wing racing. ,,,,,That is the beauty of the PAS. ,,,, You have got to learn how to drive it . ,,,,, I'm not trying to get hypothetical with you BUZ. ,,,, its that I have been around Sprint car racing all of my life. My dad raced from the mid 40s. ,,,, I was born into it in 1950. ,,,,, Its been in my blood ever sense. ,,,,,, In 1970 I became the starter at my local track ,,,,,,Cajon Speedway for 12 years. ,,,,,, than when SCRA came to life ,,, they were looking of a chief starter. ,,,,I started for SCRA 3 years ,,,,,, Than USAC came along. ,,,, And I started for USAC for a few years off on on and was a field official. ,,,, until I got tired of all the ' politics '. sense then I'm not sure SCRA giving out to USAC was the right thing to do. ,,,I think SCRA could have gone to higher highs than what USAC has done. ,,,, Oh well a ENOUGH of this bull-shit. ,,,, BUZ you have a good one. ,,,,, ZZ . ,,,,,,, AND OF CORRSE ,,,,,,,,,,, STAY THIRSTY MY FRINDS. ,,,,,FBW. ,,,,, [ THE TURN 4 HOOD ]

if we ever need a champion to defend non-wing racing in so cal , i will vote for you zz . i think you are missing something , it takes all types of racing to keep it all alive , not just non-wing 410 cars . you seem to be having a hard time with this outlaw deal . the outlaws dont have a preferred track configuration , they race on all types of tracks , they just like dry slick tracks , we all know this . the only real thing the outlaw series requires to be at any track is the money they require to run a show . most of know that can be a flat fee or they take the gate and return a small percentage . the outlaw wing cars are blistering fast around perris and for me thats why i went to see them ( averaging almost 130 mph a lap !! ) . just like many i didnt see anyone in thew stands i know . maby some of these people might decide to to come see the non-wing cars sometime . all we can do is hope , and do whatever it takes to keep what we love going .

BENTAXLE. ,,,,, You are right on every count. ,,,,, Its all about $ money $. ,,,, And yes they are fast 15 sec. ,,,,, And they do run all types of track surfaces. ,,,,, I was defending the PAS as to the thread from BUZZARDS - comment,,,,, about the PAS not being a good track for the outlaw show. His comment was ,,,,,,,, It is to hard for them to pass other cars. ,,, the track configuration is not right or the track surface was not right. ,,,,,,,,,,,,, I was not at the show. ,,, buy from what I have heard or have read about the show. ,,,, half were for it ,,,,,, The other half was Ok with it. ,,,,I have been to a outlaw shows before. ,,,, didn't care for it.,,,,,,, In no way aim I bad mouthing the outlaws. ,,,, again I was not there. !!!!!!! But I will say. ,,,,, The PAS is not the best track for the outlaws to run on. ,,, Its a Little tight for them. ,,,, but Oh shit they are FAST. ,,,,,,,,, AXLE. You have a GQQD one. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ZZ. AND STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS . FBW.

"It is to hard for them to pass other cars [at the PAS]."

I get to a good half dozen (or more) Rebel Cup, Trophy Cup, Ocean Sprints, KWS and Outlaw shows every year up here in CenCal. I don't think it's a track problem. Because most of the shows are parades during the heats with eight to ten car lengths from one to the next. The mains are only "interesting" because the fast guys do come through the field and have to work through the slower cars. Drivers like Tim Kaeding, Kyle Larson, Tommy Tarlton and Steven Allard seem to be able to dice and slice regardless of which track they're on... but during the mains only. Most of the others seem to follow the guy in front of them most of the time. Thinking back to when winged cars ran at Manzanita on that 6/10ths of a mile "super speedway," it wasn't any different there than it was -- and still is -- at 2.5/10ths of a mile Watsonville in this regard.

Single file, thats their style. Take off the barn doors, the passing will be a lot more. I would like to see the Outlaws come to the PAS and remove the wings and race against the LOCALS. That would be a true outlaw show!! Did any of our boys show up with a wing on. I had heard rumors that Matt Mitchell was going to.

maybe you forgot the results of the Mopar Million.

LIKE I said . ,,,,, In the total of about 10 treads sense mon. ,,,,, there is nothing wrong with the PAS ,,,, or the track surface. ,,,, the driver or drivers ,,,,, have got to know how to drive the track VS the track surface. With out knowing the configuration ,,,, And the track surface. ,,,,, You just don't show up . ,,,, and think that you are Mister BITCHIN.' ,,, And think your are going to set the track on fire. ,,I will say again . ,,, when the PAS was built ,,,,, It was not with the idea of a wing Sprint cars turning 13 - 15 SEC laps. ,,,,, You can only go so fast into a turn... As to were Manzy. ,,,, you could keep your foot wide open all around the track. ,,,,Nice big,,,HUGE turns . Manzy was a BIG BAD-ass track... super fast track !!!!!!!!!!!...... If the PAS were to have wider turns. ,, The outlaws would turn the high 13s. ,,,,, and again the PAS is not the type of track for the outlaws. ,,,,, Single file. ,,,, with very little passing. ,,, All that for $50 bucks "" BUT "" yes,,,,,, they are fast son of - a - bitches !!!!!!!!!! . ,,,,, for anyone paying $50 bucks to see the outlaws. ,,,, Than $25 busks is a DEAL to watch the 410 USAC/CRA Sprint cars . Come and check'em out. ,,,, A lot more passing ,,,,,, A lot more exciting ,,, A lot more cars. ,,,, All together,,,,,a better race. !!!!!!!!!!. ,,,,,ZZ. AND OF COURSE. ,,,,,,,,,, STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS. ,,,,,, FBW.
