Regardless of where there built ,there probably the safest car out there and WAY better welded than the most popular chassis brand ,,maybe not as good as JNJ or wolfweld but a whole lot cheaper ,just keep doing what a hundred other people have already told ,pound away on your Chinese computer go hang out in front of ur Taiwan tv on your foreign couch n keep preaching what a great American supporter you are ,

American chassis builders could get close to TripleX prices just by using chinese tubing and none of them will even do that. Why? Because most of them have toyed with it and it is inconsistent junk. The 50 cents an hour child labor doesn't save them as much as you think when you consider they have to ship entire chassis half way around the world at substantial cost to utilize it.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com

If that bullshit was true, then the top teams wouldn't still be running the popular chasis brands. Chinese manufacturing quality is not on par with US, Japan, Canada or Germany; nowhere close. Maybe when the US loses a few million more jobs or maybe when you're job gets shipped to China then you'll get a clue. Screw XXX and screw China- what are they doing to help diiffuse the North Korea situatiuon?

Have seen the welding on the most popular car out there or seen them break in 5 spots after a bad crash ,if you think there put together better than x cars ,you've been drinking way to much bong water ,there not even close ,,I don't have a Chinese car or work on one ,just stating a fact there safe and welded quite well , if I owned a car it probably wouldn't be a xxx ,something nice like a A.R.T or last years JEI , if it was my money buying it ide end up with well used gambler or cheaper

Some I don't think I've seen mentioned.... These are both past & present:
Rocket, Mach 1, Shaw, Avenger, JB (John Boy), Shores, Comp Welding, Stealth, Trevis Craft, Nygaard, Trostle, Gambler, Jenkins, Nance
|
Since you mentioned old ones, can't forget Challenger, and American Challenge built buy Bob Thompson in Des Moines. Both great chassis. Also Leonard McCarl built several chassis in the same area

Better late than never right? 6 1/2 years isn't really that long ago.
Thanks,
Jeff.

THis should be required reading for cubic, and others, before they bash XXX. I can't say that I've seen ANY other chassis maufacturer be as transparent with their testing data as XXX....

The lifelong local racer/chassis builder and fellow American down the street doesn't have to promote testing data.

More and more Korean Hyundais and Kias in dirt track parking lots all the time as well. I guess the people like the way Koreans are acting these days.

The larger chassis manufacturers ( those who sell nationally ) produce about 500-575 per year. Then it drops off from there when it comes to the lesser known, and regional or local manufacturers. The ones who specialize in non wing cars are all in the smaller quantity category. This is accurate, as I once worked for a major supplier to most of the builders and these were valid numbers until the time I retired several years ago. Don't underestimate the smaller builders. They often pay much greater attention to detail, like Doug Wolfgang, or Ron Trevis ( who retired earlier this year ), due to the fact they are not assembly line type builders. The big guys sell the most cars because they chalk up more wins due to so many cars in the marketplace. They get more notoriety due to lots of wins, especially major races. Of the builders who have gone by the wayside in the last 15-20 years, Gambler would have been in the 500 plus range. Today, there are 3 that I can think of who make 500 or a bit more.

Oldy but definitely a goody, RAM Chassis, late '60s thru the mid '80s. Jerry Day built some great cars, driven by some of the great drivers across the country.

What I think is most amazing is that many drivers of years gone by were guys that could bend and weld there own chassis and take them to the track. Most were better than the assembly line cars. Here in Pennsylvania you had guys like Bobbie Allen, Ben Cook, Buckley, Tobias, Henchcraft, and a few others that built quality cars. Each of these guys I believe had superior cars but lacked the production line mentality. They were small and wanted to stay that way, and the quality of the product showed that.

Because there's not an American manufacturer that can match their quality on front wheel drive cars...
