Perfect Roger could not have been put any better. They dropped the ball period and were asses about it thats why im so ticked off abou it. I never even heard Doug or Jerry even say sorry but thanks for coming all they had to say was how much money they would lose readvertising the race for some time in March didnt even have an exact date. Funny thing is we were in town a day early never heard anything on a radio station no flyers anywhere and the crowd was maybe 100. So i dont think they even advertised it in the first place which tells me should not cost them much. I really hope they rethink how they handled this and make it right but i dont see it happening after dealing with them at the track as everything seemed to be about them.

Nonwing says the crowd was about 100? Another poster claims that they took in about $35,000 and the purse was, what, $20,000? If this is even near correct, then what have we learned here? One lesson that I can recognise easily is that even if there were 1,000 butts in the stands, this event is not worth anyones efforts. Depending on the back gate to assure profit is not good promoting.

ALL THE INFORMATION THAT IS BEING POSTED ABOUT THE SPRINGFIELD RACE SATURDAY IS NOT COMPLETELY TRUE. FIRST OF ALL THE FEE FOR DRIVER PIT PASS AND ENTRY FEE WAS $50.00 DOLLARS PER CAR ADDITIONAL PIT PASSES WERE $35.00 DOLLARS IF SOMEONE PAID MORE THAN THAT YOU PROBABLY WERE NOT VERY CLEAR WITH WHAT YOU NEEDED AT THE PIT GATE. ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN INVOLVED WITH RACING FOR ANYTIME AT ALL KNOWS WE ALL TAKE HUGH RISKS EVERYTIME WE LEAVE THE DRIVEWAY. IF WE HAVE A FLAT WITH A BRAND NEW TIRE WE DO NOT TAKE IT BACK TO THE TIRE TRUCK AND GET OUR MONEY BACK, IF WE BLOW UP THAT $3000.00 OR $40,000.00 DOLLAR MOTOR ON THE THIRD NIGHT OF THE YEAR WE DO NOT TAKE BACK TO THE MOTOR BUILDER FOR A REFUND, IF THE IDIOT 2 LAPS DOWN THRASHES OUR BRAND NEW CAR ON THE FIRST NIGHT WE DONT GET HIM TO PAY THE BILL, AND WHEN THOSE WHO PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE OF THEIR LIVES ONE DAY OR NIGHT WE DO NOT GET TO ASK THE GOOD LORD FOR A REFUND ON OUR LIVES. WE ALL HAVE THAT SAME CHOICE HERE WITH THIS RACE I UNDERSTAND IT WILL BE SOMETIME IN MARCH IF WE CHOOSE TO GO THEN IT COSTS US NOTHING OTHER THAN FUEL TO GET THERE IF WE CHOOSE NOT TO THEN WE GET NO REFUND. JUST LIKE DALE EARNHARDT KNEW THE RISK WHEN HE STRAPPED IN FOR THE DAYTONA 500 THAT FATEFULL DAY WE KNEW THE RISK WHEN WE ALL LEFT THAT MORNING THE FORECAST WAS NOT A SUPRISE SO QUIT WHINING COME BACK IN MARCH AND RACE OR HUSH!!!!!!!

It wa posted 30 pit pass then they charged 35 so they screwed everyone there. Thats before we ever set foot in there so they were screwing us before it ever started. They had no idea on format for race til around 430 races were supposed to start at 3 so they didnt have a clue to what they were doing. They ran one heat race that they had no clue to what they were doing under a caution flag so that does not make a show. They have no clue on the makeup date. The only clue these crooks had was they were going to the bank with alot of money for doing nothing. Now for you sunshine you havent a clue either to go back it will cost fuel only huh so i guess we wont have to eat or get hotel rooms or any other exspense that may occur. Knoxville Daytona Eldora how can you even compare those tracks to that place i have been to Knoxvile and had the choice of using the pass at the next event or getting refund after it rained. Dont ever compare those so called promoters to someone like Ralph and his track cause they couldnt carry his briefcase Ralph cares about his racers and fans Doug Bland and Jerry Hoffman only care about themselves period. SunEclipse - It's not just about the money. Our team has lost a lot more money than that on a race night. But we didn't feel like we got screwed because we at LEAST made it out of the trailer! It's the principle of the matter. No information and just being flat out rude and unprofessional doesn't go far with racers as you can plainly see.

The track was totally unorganized from the very beginning. They couldn't find their a$$ Saturday night with both hands and a mirror. Wrong fees at the pit gate, run out of transponders and not charge some but not refund the others, no communication with the teams, badmouthing other officials, and then throw some cars on a crappy track and call it good enough to justify taking thousands and thousands of dollars to "pay expenses" - I guess I'm in the wrong business. I should be a cone guy or a liner upper guy (or a cusser outer guy on the back stretch like one guy said on a message board) at Springfield Raceway! They didn't even have to turn on lights so no expense there. Did they have THAT many nachos made up ahead of time that they lost their butt?

Are you understanding any of this? Some even got screwed over even more - some had about a $30 car wash expense added to this deal.

No, nothing is going to get resolved here. I'm sure they've already spent the money. But they are going to figure out that they didn't just screw us - they screwed themselves in the long run.

Ok its official your a jackass. My car owner covers everyones expenses on the road so that means the owner of the team i work for is out money for his crew to be on the road as do all other professional race teams that means it cost more than justfuel to go back. How about you pay for the teams food and put them up at your house then they areout only fuel.You must be a local racer with no idea what goes on outside of local Springfield Mo.. It cost teams to travel you idiot you probably have something to do with one of those other jackasses so you defend them all you want but i bet you alot of other racers have got their money back on rainouts I knowof plenty. I will inform him when i see him and i promise you I am not making this up there were some other guys there that run ASCS shows and we could not believe it was said. I will say this it was not Bland or Hoffman but this guy still was hired by them so he represents the speedway and it was very unprofessional. I will say this he is a very prominent figure with the ASCS.

Ok Sunshin44 we will make this simple on the 2nd page of this post there is a guy Bill W and trust me he knows Koxville hell I think he has even been there a time or two. Thats sarcasm Sunshine so you know about being there a time or two. Anyway you go to the 2nd page find his post and email him and he will tell you if Knoxville gives refunds on rain dates. I bet he says they have in the past im not saying they do it evereytime like a weekly show they may not but a special show i bet Knoxville has. Thats just it Sunshine i cant come back i race with professionals. Thats what you dont understand im a mechanic not a driver so thats why you never heard of me which is fine. Oh and the reason i wont be back i will be in New Zealand RACING what will you be doing raking the leaves in your apartment complex before you go to Springfield Raceway. Yeah thats what i thought. So why you want to run your mouth why dont you go ahead and throw your name out there and lets see if i have ever heard of you. Racing is a team effort and you win and lose as a team. Now if you can understand that i have won alot of races with some very good race teams. What is your position in racing and how many races have you won as a wife girlfriend maybe you drive dont matter everything is done as a team.
