I went to whole thing. 2nd year in a row. Went to final 2 nights in 2017 Can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere is electric. I though the racing was real good as usual this year. Track was a little narrow early on Wednesday night but was spot on rest of time. Will definitely go back next year. No doubt Gravel was best car this year.

Yes it was good as always my only real Complaint would be the lack of passing Wednesday night. The track just never really widened out so you pretty much finished where you started.

I have been going for the last 27 years and until this year there had only been 9 different winners in 26 years. So anytime there is a new winner it is good to see. I was there when everyone knew Steve Kinser was probably going to win and Schatz won 9 out of 10 years. Many times there was a lot less passing than this year. I think we were spoiled by the last two years where the race for the lead was so close.

There's a lot of big event I have been to where it is fun to say "I did that once" but ultimate it is far more enjoyable to stay home and watch on TV.
Knoxville is NOT one of them. Been to 24 of the last 25 and there's no other way I'd want to experience the greatest event in sprint car racing. Yes, Wednesday was a letdown in terms of the racing but the final three nights were just fine. While they did take out several seats with the widening, Friday was the most packed I had seen it in several years and Saturday was the usual madhouse. If you can go, you gotta go. There's no better place on Earth!
Is this heaven?
No, it's Iowa....Knoxville, Iowa.
