I have always thought Selinsgrove would be wise to find a different date for the Nace Race,Freemont in Ohio always schedules the Ford Classic that weekend so the Ohio non regulars will just stay in Ohio. Now the All Stars schedule a two race weekend against the Ford Classic seems like they chose to switch dates but Selinsgrove could or should have worked with them for another date if not the Nace race at least a show.

Last years race with Rahmer abd Ryan Smith was one of the best of the year.

I agree, last year's Nace race was one of my favorites of the season. The track was in great shape. I forgot how fast Selinsgrove was. Told my son afterward that you can still have an exciting race on a bigger track.

The Jim Ford Classic is traditionally the week before 4 Crown.  It they keep that date, we wont be racing against them.  We are in PA that weekend at Lincoln for $20k and at Hagerstown for the first time since 1983.

Blake I recall on many occasions when the Ford and the Nace race were on the same date just this past year Tim Schaffer went to the Ford ,in past years I recall Alan Krimes going to the Ford instead of Selinsgrove.

Just think Selinsgrove should find better times for their marquee events even the 360 National has been run against Knoxville 360 National.

With Atomac announcing the BIG SHOW on the 14th even if its not the same night as the Ford Classic ,Selinsgrove would be foolish to try and run a big show on the same date with no All Stars and Zearfoss now an All Star ,no Dewease as Kreitz will not run their that only leaves two or three full time cars for Pa.

Nothing against Ryan Smith or Rahmer but I hope they do get someone else for the 27 as Pa. really needs top cars.

I can 100% agree regarding the 360 nationals being moved to the same date as the Knoxville 360 nationals not a very prudent move.

The Jim Nace Memorial / National open has been the same date forever and it is probably not going to move because of most dates in Pa for their "BigShows" are filled.

Yes the all-stars have sanctioned the event only in 2017 & 2018.  Prior to this the All-stars ran at Selinsgrove in April.  All-stars most likely wanted to do something different with their 2017 schedule in April Blake could answer this.  All-Stars asked Selinsgrove to sanction  the Jim Nace memorial which is a very high profile event and could keep the momentum the All-Stars were building going and was good for both sides.

Blake - totally enjoyed your co-call/announcing of the Jim Nace Memorial - and i'm disappointed because it has been terrific the last two years and your praise and talk of what an honor it is to be the sanctioning body of a race in honor of such a great man in the late Jim Nace.

So yes it came as a huge shock and big disappointment when the schedule was released and the all-stars wanted out of the new date they received 2 years ago.
