Yay.... Future sprint car racing will only be 305s.

That will be the day I stop going. I don't mind the 305's as a support division as long as they don't bring too many cars and hold the show up all night. I think it's a good class for beginners, those on a strict budget or those just looking to have fun without mortgaging their home. However, I don't understand why racers want to stay in this class forever and spend 20G on motors just to race for $300.

I agree completely. 305s as entry level step up into something bigger and better is awesome but then again thats what 360s were for. :/ I have problems with some long time racer with a good amount of experience staying in a lower class especially when its apparent they are outspending the competition. Costs at the 410 level should probably be addressed somehow but I don't believe the answer is less cubic inches.

They run 305 Racesavers here in Northeast Big Block Modified country. They are faster than the Modifieds, provide good racing, and usually have more than a full field when they run (6-8 times a year at each track). But, go to the races on a night when 305s are running and half the stands go to the restroom or concession stand during the heat races, and if the big blocks run their feature first, 60% of the crowd leaves as they are being pushed onto the track.
However, come to the same track for a WoO, ASCOC, or even just a 410 race where the PA guys are coming into town as the headliners, and the tracks inevitably get their biggest crowd of the year. If 305's become the headliner around the country at places that are used to watching 410's, this sport wont survive their.

If 410s die, where do you think the guys that still want to race 360's and 305's, will put their money?

I'll stand by my remarks. Anybody with doubt needs to YouTube the Eagle Raceway Racesaver Nationals........some great footage from RacinBoys and other videos, also. Some great wheel to wheel crowded action. As many as four wide on many laps. I'm not sellin.....I'm just tellin Engine size a problem my ass. This is some good racing. BTW....sharp looking car that #54! Thanks EPSG (we do agree on some things)

Let's bask in the fleeting glory of that happening.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.
