I just looked at Mr Ed's schedule and he can't be to buzzy next 2 scheduled events has the same 5 monster trucks he has here which is basically a joke if you ask me that's not a show. As far as the county goes from what I know they don't give 2 shits about the track, if it's open they make some money if not then it's just something they don't have to dick with! That's the way it's always been here!

The county keeps the only profit there is in a race track , hotdogs and beer. They want a promoter that thinks he knows it all to lose his ass not their's. They know it's a losing deal. And then they make him buy the insurance to protect them from liability. Anyone who signs on to a deal like that would be so dumb that they deserve to lose their ass. LOL The racers need to all bitch at the commissioners until they give a promoter a decent deal where he can make a buck, than racing can grow.

RCAR,
your exactly correct about all you said above....
It could grow right back into what it used to be here if the county would just get some get right and a promoter that actually cared about the locals... Without these two ingredients coming together it will be a lost cause everytime...

Ok, since ed has officially said he will not be running the track anymore, which I never figured he would stay all year anyway, I'll go ahead and chime in on this. I didn't want to say anything with him still running the track cause I figured as easily as he got upset with people on facebook, it wouldn't take much to get crappy calls at the track. The ONE race he ran there this year, was unsafe and very inefficiently run. On top of that, you cannot run a track with NO track prep equipment! The track was like driving on the rumble strips that run down a fricking highway!! Water washed ruts in the whole track, and nothing was done to smooth the track back out. I am not running down anybody that was out there working to get the pits dried, cause they did a good job with what they had, NOTHING!! You cannot run a track and expect other people to bring in their equipment to do the work!! I was not going to be running Enid until there was some major issues fixed under ed, or he quit and somebody else was running the track. I hope that somebody will come in and run the track right, or as stated above maybe the fair board should higher a manager to run the track since they take all the revenue from the concessions and souvenir sales. I will support Enid whenever it reopens and hope that it is soon cause I have been to busy to drive 150+ miles to race!! JMO!!
#85 Limited Mod!! THAT JUST HAPPENED!!!
