I listened on the internet last night. It sounds to me that maybe Knoxville had just a little too much on the schedule last night.
I could be mistaken, but it sounds like they had;
HoF inductions
Vintage cars?
410 program
360 program with 2 features
Complete 305 program
They might have been pushing it a little time wise, and then a few bad crashes probably tipped the cart over. Might have been better to shift something to another night where there wasn't as much scheduled.

Next week, it looks like we have a full schedule with 360's, and the 410's with their double feature night along with the fireworks show that was originally scheduled for Friday and was rained out. So.................... for those of you who need to be someplace else instead of enjoying the fantastic program that we have at Knoxville night after night without bitching.................STAY THE HELL HOME!!!!!
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

One thing not mentioned I think knoxville deserves credit for is cutting the 410 b-main. The started 23 cars instead of the usuall 20 when there are that few of cars. Of course it benefited several guys points wise since if you transfer from the b, you don't recieve a-main points, but thats neither here nor there.

You could have went to Eagle paid $35.00 and seen half of the show! At least Knoxville finished their show!

Hmmm...when did they start not getting A main points after going through the B?
Man, I couldn't invent this stuff you guys make up! O.k., I'm done. Five nights of racing in five nights here in Iowa this week...

Like some of you on here I wish we had a track that had "problems" like Knoxville.
Went to "my" local track an hour away and saw 2 divisions of modifieds, hobby stock, pure stock, and ministocks! Started at 7:30 and drove out at a little after 12:00. Of course they had about a 20 minute fireworks display, followed by the chicken dance which was followed by the ever popular YMCA. Total intermission time was about 45 minutes.

2 posts, and both bashing Eagle. Tell 'ya what, either man up (or woman up) and post your real identity or keep quiet. You made up a different screen name just for this?? ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!! Are you the same one who's posted on 3 different message boards (that I know of)? Is that why you started an new personna? Just to back yourself up??
We finished the World of Outlaws show, and it was past midnight the way it was. A driver was life flighted (thank God he was released this morning with just a concussion) and a visiting 360 driver hung his car on the turn 3 fence. Both of these took 1/2 hour or more to take care of. Kind of hard to justify lengthening the evening more I would think. You paid to see the Outlaws, and you did. Seems to me that you got what you paid for.
Some folks seem to think it's necessary to show their childishness and whine. I finished up my work at 4 a.m. this morning and will do it again in a heartbeat; all because I love dirt track racing. I had a great time last night, and so did a lot of other folks. I couldn't begin to count the happy, smiling faces in the pits afterwards as the visited with the teams. Seems to me that you're in a minority.
Thanks to all of the drivers for coming to Eagle and risking life, limb and a LOT of money to entertain everyone (even the ungrateful ones).
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Hands down winner of "Idiot poster of the WEEK"....honestly if you dont know what you are talking about dont speak!!! and if you thought that was the case but were unsure how about wording that in the form of a question ( you cant blame a guy for not knowing the facts, but you can blame him for spreading what he thinks is the facts)....
That statement just plain and simply doesnt make any sense!!!! how could you type it thinking it was in fact information???

You also have forgotten already that there was a 25 min break so they could have the Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame inductions plus let some of the vintage cars run. I'm not saying that is wrong but the 25 min break had some to do with it. Plus there were 2 major accidents that likley totaled an hour of downtime. Like Bill W said we have been done by 10:30 on MOST nights. Just because 1 night goes long doesn't mean that's the norm.

IMO...
Come on people we all know that anything and somtimes everything can happen at a race. I don't particularly enjoy races running late, but it happens and we should all be used to it by now. I'm not excusing Knoxville for adding a bunch of stuff to the program, but in my opinion they are trying to give the fans their money's worth every night.
Just wondering....would we complain if our favorite sports team (i.e. Baseball, Football, Basketball...) was to go extra innings or overtime? When we attend a sporting event we should understand that the night may get long at times. Knoxville has been getting done on a regular basis lately "on time", not sure that this one instance (or the happenings at Eagle) warrants the outcry.

I would agree with the update of the sound system and a different choice of music for the down time. The Rap/Hip Hop needs to go!
As far as the overall show Sat. Night, It was one of those catch 22 deals. The weatherman did not cooperate very well but the staff at Knoxville busted butt to try and run a great show for everyone involved. Hats off to the track crew, The push trucks that put over 10,000 miles on Sat night. LOL And a BIG Thank You to the rescue crew who put in a years worth of work in one night.

Hall of Fame night is always one of my favorites. I love to see the old cars and the people who get inducted. People who have given so much to their sport deserve the recognition. Most people never even see the Knoxville HoF under the grandstands in turn 1. It's not much to look at, but at least Knoxville has something there to honor them where most tracks don't even have a Hall of Fame.
