Racing is becoming pussified. Slide jobs have always been a part of racing. Once the car doing the slider has their rr at the other cars #1 spark plug.. Both drivers can make the decision to avoid contact and use the brakes.. One driver can still see (car being slid) .. He is the one in control of the outcome of situation 80% of the time (some stupid sliders that make contact before the mid point of the corner are 100% the driver doing the slide jobs mistake as the other guy never had a chance to see him). Once you are half way past the corner the driver on the outside is in control of the outcome.. He can either lift and cross over or try to run the outside line.. One of those decisions is far riskier than the other.. My point being.. He is in control at that point.. He makes the decision.

Before you all jump and down saying the car must be cleared completely.. You don't need to be all the way past 2nd place at the finish line to win..

Anyone in the 21 cars situation gets the same outcome 100% of the time. He had absolutley no chance.

I'll go a step further and say when you race with someone for a long time you expect the same respect you give them. The 21 expected Danny to realize he wasn't going to clear him and get out of the gas and give him some room so Brian stayed in the gas. 21 did nothing wrong, he was put in a no win situation.

I agree. Happened too fast for Monteith to prevent crash, DD flat out slid into him, & admitted it

But as we used to say as kids, "Sorry doesn't make it better"....

You just made my point.. Brian thought he would stay lower and made the choice to stay in the gas and try to roll around him.. He guessed wrong..

Not saying either did anything wrong.. Just that one driver could see that he wasn't going to clear and hoped that he would brake.. The other driver no doubt thought he had him cleared.

I used to be a big supporter of his but that ended a couple of years ago. He's one of the most naturally gifted drivers I've ever seen. He usually races clean but last night was anything but. He 100% admitted to it so I give him credit for that then the 2nd half of the apology is where he goes off the rails. I've been posting on here for awhile and I've said it many times in the past: some Posse fans are total idiots. Last night that was on full display and I don't like seeing that at all whether it's Danny or Donny Schatz. That said, Dietrich brings it on himself. Since he got on Twitter, he's gone completely out of his way to fire people up and even went so far as to say in a tweet early this spring that he wants the people that hate him to hate him even more. So what the hell does he expect? He knows as well as me or anyone else who lives here what some of our fans are like yet he continues to go to the extreme with his words with the intentions of throwing gas on the inferno. He can dish it out but he sure as hell can't take it. He's as thin skinned as any racer I've ever seen. Again, the display by the fans in turn 4 was disgusting but he's the one who works overtime to bring out the worst in his fans and moreso, the people who hate him so he shouldn't be surprised when he gets what he got last night.

Dude relax ... he says that stuff for people to get engaged you need a “bad guy” in any entertainment .. it’s entertaiment 101 PA fans realize it but don’t. I’ve lived in PA my whole life and witness people cheering when the “bad guy” gets passed for 5th but aren’t watching their favorite driver going for the win or moving up further than the “bad guy“ they are too busy giving  the “bad guy“ the finger everytime he goes by. At the end of the day if DD wins in July against the outlaws everyone will cheer. most PA fans are puppets and they just don’t realize it. It’s very funny actually.

In your two posts before this it sure seems like you are putting the blame on the 21. 48 threw it so hard even if he would've hit the brakes they still would've made contact. The pictures you posted don't show the speed they were carrying and how quick the 48 slid up. Like I said, the 48 put the 21 in a no win situation regardless of the 21 hitting the brakes or not.

You're exactly right. If you watch the video, it appears as if Brian did lift the second before he got hit but he had no room nor time to take evasive action. He was literally a sitting duck.

I like the fact Reutzel and others often show up at non ascoc or woo shows. Seems the Woo guys are above that and wont race the little races. I understand the control the Woo has and why race on a Tuesday for 5k when you can save equipment for a 10K Friday but let's face it 2 thirds of the Woo regular have a much better chance 1st at a speedweek than 2nd at a Woo show.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Its not so much that they're "above that", they get penalized for running TRUE "outlaw" races

A few years ago there was a big controversy on HH when Jason Sides got screwed out of end of season $$$ for running an unsanctioned race
