Sprint Cars Invade Longdale Speedway This Saturday Night!
 
 
Longdale, Oklahoma – April 11, 2016 - A huge night of sprint car racing action comes to the Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Oklahoma this coming Saturday night (April 16) as the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesaver Sprint Series joins forces with the Kansas based United Rebel Sprint Series IMCA Racsaver Sprint Series and is the first of two such events slated for this race season at the speedway.
 
This is the inaugural season for the SSO and this Longdale Speedway event will be race number two on the weekend as the series will be competing in Ardmore on Friday night.
 
The URSS has been in existence since 2006 and predominately competes in the state of Kansas, with various races slated for Nebraska and Colorado as well.
 
The SSO will be well represented by such drivers as Andy Shouse, Chris Kelly, Gary Kelley, female driver Shayla Waddell, Loyd Clevenger, Ty Williams and Cody Whitworth. Fairview’s own Jake Martens will give the local fans a driver they will be familiar with.
 
Defending series champion Jake Bubak of Colorado headlines a list of strong URSS regulars expected to make the tow as well as
Kansas regulars Zach Blurton, Kaden Taylor, Brian Herbert, Jed Werner, Zach Taylor and Lance Davis.
 
Over twenty drivers from four states are expected.
 
Also competing will be the tracks regular weekly divisions consisting of IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Stock Cars, intermediate sport mods, pure stocks and grand nationals and will be their second point race of the young 2016 race season.
 
Gates open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:00 PM start time. Adult general admission tickets are just $15; $12 for seniors and all military personnel; children ages 6-12 just $5 and kids five and under admitted to the grandstands for free.
