The Sprint Car Bandits are pleased to 'announce' the Series Announcer for 2016, Nick Robbins from Manor, TX (Austin, TX area).

Nick literally grew up in the Ditch (Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, AR), watching drivers such as Ricky Stenhouse Sr., Jim Bowden and Greg Hodnett. He got his first job in the racing business at NEA Speedway in 2010 in scoring then into announcing in 2012.

When asked about his transition from scoring to announcing, Nick commented: "It was magic! There is no better place to be on a Friday or Saturday night as far as I’m concerned. I announced the entire 2013 season at NEA Speedway as well as a few Friday nights at the now-closed Malden Speedway in Missouri."

Nick adds: "I have worked with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series Late Models as well as the USCS sprint car series in the Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri area. My wife Jakki and I moved to Manor in December of 2013 and I started working at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco in 2014 as well as back up at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige."

Nick concludes with: "Things keep getting better here in the Lone Star State and I couldn’t be more excited to work with the Sprint Car Bandits in their inaugural season! 2016 has some great things in store for Texas racing! I’m super stoked to be a part of it!"

Backing up the bus...

If you are just now hearing about the Sprint Car Bandits series, here's some previously released Series information, so you can catch up to speed:

The Sprint Car Bandits Series was formed to work for everyone. So what does that mean?

It means, the primary goals are to make this series 'work' for the competitors, the race tracks, the race fans and the sponsors.

How is the Sprint Car Bandits Series going to accomplish those goals?

- Competitors. Our rules package helps equalize the cars, which makes the driver more of a factor. By creating an environment that helps to level the playing field, it will create more strategy throughout the racing program. Our rules package also allows drivers to race their existing cars without making any major changes to them. It will also lower competitors operating costs on consumable items. Please click our 'rules' link for more details.

-Fans. Our rules package will create more of a competitive field of cars which will result in better racing, where racers of different budget sizes can perform based on their set-up skills...and race for good payback as well.

-Race Tracks. The Sprint Car Bandits Series operates on lower overhead and costs race tracks less to book an event. This allows for more affordable ticket prices for race fans - which helps draw bigger crowds as well.

-Series Sponsors. Part of the track agreement is that our Series sponsors have the ability to receive display space at the Series events, in order to get their product/service directly in front of the fans/target market. There are also several online components that help drive fans/teams to their online marketing efforts...which creates several value-added benefits.

Currently, Sprint Car Bandits Series events are being limited to tracks in an approximate 150 mile radius of Dallas/Ft. Worth, as that is where the core of the driver base is for the Series. It also makes it easier for race fans that want to attend all Series events to do so.

The Sprint Car Bandits Series is not affiliated with any other sprint car organization, yet is cognizant of other events booked in the DFW region and is not out to 'split' fans or teams. That being said, events will be booked on dates that work best for the majority of drivers and teams, and for the betterment of the sport.

If you are a Sprint Car driver that is interested in the Sprint Car Bandits Series, a race track looking to books dates, or business seeking affordable and effective marketing and advertising solutions through the Series, please contact Steve Lang, at: [email protected] or by calling 469-474-8234.

One other note to Sprint Car teams, through January, there is free driver registration available for the 2016 racing season. Click www.SprintCarBandits.com then click the 'drivers' link to complete our simple online registration form. After that date, there will be a registration fee for drivers competing in the 2016 season.

Please make sure to check our website www.SprintCarBandits.com and our Facebook page by entering in 'Sprint Car Bandits', as we will be updating each of them with the latest Series news as it continues to develop.

The Sprint Car Bandits Series would like to thank everyone for their early support of this new venture, which has helped bring it to fruition.
