why not just run sealed motors that way no one can cheat.because only sertivied mechanics can work on them not your own crew members.that is dumb to have a sealed motor and your own crew work own the sealed motor .SO NO ONE CAN CHEAT .

I think Thunder Road has a sealed engine class.

Sealed motors can be cheated.
Example. You can get a valve spring that you can put on a sealed GM engine that will make it run 500 rpm more then the original valve spring. The spring looks stock but it will make the engine rev higher.

That is just one example on how to cheat a sealed engine there are plenty other ways to cheat it.

If a engine builder built ten engines identical there would always be a few out of that ten that for some reason would run better then the rest. It's just the nature of the beast.

Sealed motors sounds like a good idea but in reality they don't work.
