ASCS has handed down their decision on the disqualification of the number X car that took place at the Jackson Nationals this past Friday night.
The driver/owner has been suspended from all ASCS events until January 1, 2008.
Other topics were discussed at the meeting that took place on Monday. Those that receive our ASCS e-mail updates will find more information on these items later this week...CZ

ChickenSh*t suspension. Per ASCS rules "Penalty for altered spec head will be subject to suspension, for one calendar year"
There are 3 races left on the Northern Plains schedule that he will miss during his "suspension".
If ASCS wants to gain some credibility they would stand behind the rules and hand down real punishment for a 2 time cheater. What a joke it is. (I'm sure this was the only time he used the illegal engine in ASCS competition this year.......)

Chuck,
I tend to agree with "throttle" in regard to the disqualification, could you maybe enlighten us Chuck, as to why it was so light??

Sorry, I can not.
Tommy Estes, Jr and Emmet Hahn make those decisions. You'll have to call and visit with them...CZ
