Does anyone know who was the track photographer or who was shooting photo's at State Fair Speedway in the early 1980's? I am looking fo rvery early 1980's photos of Danny Wood driving a white trimmed in blue #55 100" car to purchase. This particular car later became a white Sonic sponsored #2 car.I see that Rudy Garcia has many old photo's. Would he have been shooting during that time? any help appreciated. ron c. [email protected]

JD Porter is on here he might have been shooting. Mike Howard, Rusty Manning. Back in the earlier days of the site Rusty was using a negative scanner to bring his photos back. He has some in the 80's section and 70's.

I'm guessing they all might drop buy this site from time to time?

Rudy was from the Dallas area, but that don't mean he doesn't have some. He did shoot at OKC some.

Ron, Mike Howard would be your best bet on those photos, get on oklahomatidbits and ask about it, Mike usually is on there on occassion.

When the car became the Sonic car, I believe Gary Flatt drove the car then.

Hi there JD, I have been in contact with Mike and he didn't have any on that car when Danny Wood had it. Danny managed to find a couple for me but i just thought there would be more out there and wanted to try to find them before they eventually disappear with time especially for restoration purposes. I have got a few photo's from Gary Flatt and Alvin Brasier when it was the Sonic-mobile.It sometime suprises me that so many people had so few pictures or their cars. And I know digging for them is a major pain. thanks for the reply. Ron

Ron, Surprises me that Mike does not have very many from back then, I know Rusty Manning as well , me and him use to go to a lot of the NCRA's back in the 70's and early 80's and I believe he quite taking pics about that time of those cars and not sure if he would have any of the car Danny Wood or Flatt drove. I might have maybe one action shot of the Sonic car when Flatt drove it but I bet it is from far off and not sure how much that pic would help you. Your welcome to it if you feel you might need it.

JD, I wouldn't know how to get in touch with Rusty, but if you ever get the opportunity to talk with him, would you please ask him if it comes to mind? thanks, Ron

The easyiest way to explain it is go to FAQ at the top of the page and follow the direction Jeff Roberg puts in the FAQ.

1. How do I put a video from YouTube in a post?
