The Chowchilla Speedway kicks off two spectacular nights of short track racing. Friday night July 3rd the Chowchilla Speedway will host the Western Modifieds as the Headliner and Saturday July 4th the Madera Speedway will feature the SRL Southwest Tour as the headliner. Both nights of racing will feature a huge fireworks display, and everyone knows the fireworks shows the Short Track Management Company puts on is second to none!
The on track fireworks will begin Friday night in Chowchilla with the Western Modifieds as the main event and the under card includes the Super Stocks, Hobby Stocks, and the 4-Bangers.
Then on Saturday night July 4th the action will continue at Madera Speedway with the SRL Southwest Tour as the main event and an undercard that includes the Western Late Models, American Limited Stock Cars, Mini Super Toyotas, Toyota Sedans, and the Hornet/4-Banger two track challenge series event.
Between the two nights of racing some of the best racing talent in the Western United States will be on display, drivers like Petit, Byrd, Raudman, Kanke, Gottulla, Strmiska, Westmorland, Stanford, Jeppeson, Papenhausen, Porter, Shepherd, Weaver and many more!
The biggest fun of the year has been the 4-Banger Two Track Challenge Series which is where the 4-Bangers run three races on dirt and three on pavement. The dirt portion of the series is complete and now the class moves to Madera for three pavement races to find out who will be on the stage at the banquet in November. Saturday night the 4th will be a big night for the 4-Bangers and the Hornets.
So if you want to celebrate the Holiday with some good old American Horsepower and Fireworks get out to Chowchilla Speedway Friday July 3rd and Madera Speedway Saturday July 4th. Great racing, great food, cold drinks and fireworks, now that's American!
Racing begins at Chowchilla Speedway at 6:00pm, with Main Events at 8:00pm and Fireworks to follow. Racing begins at Madera Speedway Saturday at 5:00pm. For more information check out racemadera and racechowchilla.com.
