i was with mike sargent when he raced a sprint car at craig road speedway for ray mischovich in the late 70's. i saw tim lightfoot drive a pavement sprinter around the track just like you would a dirt car. smoked the right rear off in 10 laps. used 4 right rears in the main event lmao.

hmmm... the photo by Jim Fisher posted by "fish" is a small block Chevy.   The first photo posted by "cmpvideo2gois either a big block Chevy or a Ford.   I'm just wondering...   Ahhh... maybe the small block Chevy is for the dirt.. at least it looks like dirt.

Now that is a wild rear wing that "wright-one" Steve posted.  In the other string - when we were supposed to be guessing who you are - I was going to say that you signed your name as Mike Sargent... so that's who I thought you were.  Smile

Brazil won the 1978 Johnny Key race driving for Gary Warner.

Could the San Jose chassis builder have been Jim Belfiore? Not sure what year he moved west.

I think the car was owned by Art Sugui (not sure of spelling) ran a big block at the Golden West Classic at Altamont in 1972 and crashed real hard in turn 3. I think Hamilton was driving it.

Art Sugai was the owner. A host of very good drivers drove the Pink Lady. Jerry Sneva ran the car during the early Golden State Classic races. Maybe Hamilton ran it during the final years of the annual series.

Here is a link to a recent thread that discuss's the Pink Lady. Some cool photos and Pink Lady related artifacts. Well worth the time it will take to sign-in.

Sprintcarz is right. The "Pink Lady" was a Grant King chassis that was owned by Art Sugai. Jerry Sneva drove the car in the early "Golden State Classic" and "Golden West Classic"(when they included T-Car Speedway in Carson City Nevada) races. Kenny Hamilton wheeled her to two "Copper Classic" sprint car wins in 1980 and 1984 before the addition of the Silver Crown series at that event. The picture that I have attached is from the 1991 "Silver State Classic" supermodified event at Silver State Raceway (T-Car) in which there were three upright cars entered. The other two entrants were the Northwest's Rick Brown, and Utah's Rob Roland. TO BAD SPRINTS CAN'T BE THAT BEAUTIFUL ANY MORE!!!

AAA had a pink sprintcar which ran in 1950 s.  I think Mary Hulman was listed as owner and I think Pat OConner drove it some.  Please correct me  if am wrong.
