Racing friend - We have a racing family in need of your prayers and support. Please read on and determine how you can help. Thank you

On October 25, 2008, John B. Heffernon Jr. was involved in a single car rollover accident at Heartland Park Topeka, KS. The car hooked a rut in the middle of turns one and two which caused him to barrel roll into the wall.

John's brother Lenny, provided the information below:

John has been racing, as a hobby, since 1983. He started in go-karts with his dad, John Sr. and youngest brother Lenny. In '91, John Sr. bought a 1200cc Minisprint and we started the '92 season with the Midwest Outlaw Lightning Sprints and have raced with them ever since. John Sr., John Jr. and Lenny took turns racing the car for the first few years until John Sr. decided to let John Jr.and Lenny take over. They traded out driving responsbilities every other race.

Racing was a hobby for John and the Heffernon familythat allowed for stress relief while working together and staying close as a family. John has 2 daughters ages 14 and 8. The 14 year old has recently taken an interest in the sport.

As much as John enjoyed racing, his greatest love is his wife and daughters. He loved going to the lake, watching his girls play softball and soccer, and being in the outdoors.

Thanks for your help and support
