It's also being reported that there's a $100,000 bonus for any non-WoO regular who wins the race.

So who is paying the HL drivers show up money to go to Skagit and bypass Huron?
This is the reason Quiring offered the $100K... he confirmed HL drivers were offered a large sum show up money to bypass his show. This show up money is not being offered by the track... so who affiliated with HL have that kind of money to offer to driver...hmmm?

If you work for Quiring, you should know that Husets Speedway is not in Huron.

No, I don't work for Huset's. I meant to type in Huset's but accidentally put in Huron... old age.
That said, who affiliated with HL is providing HL drivers a large sum to show up at Skagit?
One company immediately comes to mind who would do this.
Question - have you been to Huset's? Thoughts on facility and racing?

HL doesn't show any races on their schedule between June 11th and June 26th.

OK. I figured you must work for Quiring if you knew that he had confirmed that some mysterious person was paying a bunch of tow money for a race at Skagit in order to get racers to skip the big money races at Husets.
Im not sure I understand what you're saying about the Skagit race. H-L doesn't have a race there until September. How does that affect a June race at Husets? It looks like H-L left the June schedule open around the Husets races, perhaps for the benefit of their drivers?
As for your question about racing at Husets, I can honestly say I've been there between 400 and 500 times. I've gone every year since I moved here in 1984. It's a great facility, it has exciting races, and the track is perfect for sprint cars. The only variable that causes issues is Mother Nature and nobody likes it when she gets involved with the races.

No idea if it's a fact but I heard Sweet and Rudeen were paying tow money for HL teams to come to Skagit for the NARC race.

Both the 54th Dirt Cup and High Bank Nationals are on the same weekend - as they were last year. Last year several HL teams went to one, several HL teams went to the other.
Kind of a parallel scenario to when the TC and the STN would scheduled for the same weekend back in the day. There would always be about 10 teams that would go to both if they were scheduled on different weekends.
I would expect similar this year, as Skagit has a potential weekend haul between $100,000 to potentially $128,000.
A $100,000 bonus for Huset's is a great way to get more fans into the 'invader' component & purchasing tickets, as there's a real possibility it could be won...not to mention more teams.
There's really no controversy or conspiracy type scenario. Just two tracks 1,500 miles apart trying to maximize their fan attendance by getting more teams registered, which helps drive advance ticket sales.

i applaud the promoters for offering incentives to race at their tracks. But I find the math puzzling.
Our diesel trucks at work get about 6 miles to the gallon of $5 diesel full. It's 1550 from Husets to Skagit, meaning if a team went to Skagit over Husets, they'd drive anpther 3100 miles. Fuel for that trip would cost about $2585. We figure the total cost to run our trucks is around $4 per miles, with every cost included- that's break-even point. 3100x $4= $12,400.
How much are they paying for tow money?

Murphy-
I think in this case it's still all relative. Because the following weekend, no matter which event teams choose, there's a 2-night HL event in Billings...which is about 1/2 way (in sprint car terms).
But I certainly wouldn't want to be paying diesel bills for any rig this season...especially when season budgets were lined out before the prices shot up.

It's gotta be A-Aron's to lose at this point, but I'm sure Buddy K will keep him honest.

Think this is backwards and it's Buddy's to lose with Aaron and others (Sheldon, Balog, Gravel) there to keep him honest.
Buddy's results in the past two years at Huset's are nothing short of tremendous - it's probably the most dominant stretch of any driver at a single track in national touring competition the sport has seen in some time.
In the 10 Huset's WoO races since the beginning of 2024, Buddy has an average finishing position of 2.5, with five wins, eight total podiums, a fourth and a seventh, and honestly, the seventh is a little misleading because of the format Huset's was running for HBN then and was a hard-charger run from 22nd.
Buddy has ran four HBN finales with two wins, a third, and had the first HBN virtually locked up before grenading an engine and finishing 21st.
It's been a truly remarkable run, and Buddy was right in the dash interview the other night when he said it should be a bounty on him alone. I can understand why it's been created as a non-Outlaw bounty, but the numbers would support it being just for Kofoid.

Look at HL schedule the next week....Billings Montana. While the race at Skagit was never a HL, the CA owners of the series makes it easier. I'm sure extra tow money is being paid by Skagit to HL teams, the HL series has a lot of miles for a 60 ish race series. The $100k good promotion for Husets, I hope the #10 Timms car beats the #83, but not sure how many HL will stop.
You have 2 track promoters with deep pockets. I hope both have great crowds.
