I have a question----my son and a friend are coming in Friday night to the Nationals.  We have 2 campsites with 2 campers.  I have been camping there for years, but have never had this situation come up, nor have I paid attention to other sites.

Can my son put a tent up on our site?  Or, does a tent need its own site?

Thanks in advance for any help

The North Campground seems to have no rules.  Many of the other campgrounds like the County Park, Lake Red Rock Parks and even Van Donsler's have you sign a contract or give you a list of rules.  As I can attest, it's probably better to ask forgiveness than permission out there.  I've stayed out there in the past and made the mistake of asking if I could do something that I knew other people were doing.  I was told in no uncertain terms that it was not allowed--wish I would have kept my mouth shut.  I'm not saying to go ahead and do it because they might make you take down the tent and leave you in a bind, but from what I've seen, they probably won't even notice.  You can call the track office and ask, tent sites are only $20 a night and I'm guessing they would still have some available, that way you'll know for sure going in.  Good luck.
