Josh Schneiderman – Racing in the Backyard

Dallas, TX (July 4, 2019) – Josh Schneiderman and the Deuce Motorsports enjoyed a Saturday night off from the Knoxville Raceway by staying close to home and doing battle with the Sprint Invaders at 34 Raceway, where they would end the night with a top five. “The Professor” will have the World of Wheels/Land Pride #49 back at Knoxville this weekend and be sure to stop by the hauler after the races, as the t-shirts are in and going fast!

While the racing portion of last Saturday night at 34 Raceway went well for Schneiderman and the Deuce team, the weather was a different story. “It wasn’t too bad of a night for us,” said Josh. “However, it was miserably hot! Although, that’s to be expected this time of year.”

The warm weather didn’t change the team’s luck with the draw, as they once again found themselves having to start fairly deep in their heat race. “The draw has become so important no matter what format you’re running anymore,” said Josh. “Whether it’s determining your spot in the time trial lineup, or if it’s lining you up for your heat, it really sets up your night for better or worse.”

Taking off from fifth in his heat, Josh was able to move up one spot to finish 4th, leaving them with a starting spot in the middle of the pack for the night’s main event. “It’s so important to finish in the top two to make the dash with the Invaders,” said Schneiderman. “We weren’t able to move up enough, so we had to battle our way forward in the A-main.”

Rolling off on the outside of the fifth row for the 25-lap feature, Schneiderman would hang on early, before some in-race changes worked to his advantage. “The first half of the race we were just trying to stay in the top ten,” said Josh. “We were experimenting with a new shock package that we’ve never run before and it seemed like it was a failure through the first half of the A.”

However, as the main event wore on, Schneiderman would begin his move forward. “It was looking like it was going to be a rough night, but then I moved the wing back and the car just came to me,” said Josh. “With a little help from some late cautions bunching the field up, we were able to move up into the top five and end up 4th. I really felt like the car was working well enough to compete for a podium at that point, but we just ran out of laps.”

After a solid run, “The Professor” had a good time in the pits, as many fans made their way over to check out the throwback paint scheme and the team’s new shirt design. “The new shirts are in and they were going pretty quick!” said Josh. “I’m excited to have them up at Knoxville this Saturday for the first time.”

Coming off his top five last weekend, Josh and the Deuce Motorsports team will have the World of Wheels/Land Pride #49 back in action at Knoxville this Saturday night!
