hmm

All this talk of 69k kickin everyones ass at Knoxville looked like an also ran in time trials and heat race. Don't give me any shit that he has not raced there in 7 or 8 years the outlaws only race a hand full of times at the Grove a year also.

A handful of races for 8 years equals about 32 to zero.

He doesn't look good.  He backed up in the B before settling and moving up a couple of spots.  We'll see what they learned tomorrow night---weather permitting.

They probably should go to the kings royal instead of wasting all that money to go back to knoxville

The Outlaws have run the Grove 6 times a year for the past 25 plus years. Many of the outlaws were grove regul;ars for years.  Didn't look like they were two far off. A bad time trial in an outlaw show pretty much ends your night. Especially on a track your not used to.

I thought Lance might be quick in time trials and heats and then fade in the A main. I was surprised they were that off. 8th to 9th in the heat and 7th to 9th in the b main suggests they were very far off.

If they get it in tonight he should be a bit better.

He was fastest in is hot laps and near the top of all groups. I was surprised after the hot laps be timed poorly. Anyone actually there, did he wobble and get off the gas each lap?

They haven't been the same since they busted the car up at Mansfield. Probably should have gone out for a regular show first. It's tough to get quality laps if you're sitting on the trailer for the A. Hopefully they still learned something and can put it in the show tonight.

Speaking of slowing down after a mishap.... is this the story for Rico and Dobmeier also. Seems those guys were usually in the mix any night but now sometimes miss the A main.

They didn't bust the car up at Mansfield, they had mechanical issues and had to pull in mid way through their feature.

I was there.  I was also surprised by his poor timing after he shot to the top during hot laps.  I was sitting in turn 1 and don't recall anything horrible either lap.

I watched on DirtVision, no wobbles, just not that fast.

People always mistake dominance at Williams Grove as a sign that you’ll be good at Knoxville or vice versa and it never holds.

A game isn't over in the first quarter. This was a test & tune for Nationals, hope they figure it out

By the way, I don't recall anyone saying they were gonna "kick ass". Reasonable Posse fans know the 69K team is good & would like to see what they could do at Nats. Lance has had Top 10 finishes in the past

Lance has 1 feature win at Knoxville (not Nationals, obviously)

He's made 7 A-Mains in Nats, best finish of 8th, starting 15th. Next best finish, 9th, starting 24th!

Its possible.... GO LANCE!

7 out of what 20 or more, the PA cheerleaders think he's going to win the dang thing, lol.  I'm sure Lance would not be happy with those results, he's a Champ and those aren't the results of a Champion.  Qualified 15th out of 21 in his group, 9th in his heat, 9th in the B, this sure ain't the Porch is it?

He'd have been dead last in his heat if Scelzi and Selvage hadn't had issues as well.

I'm not going to write them off yet but they will need to find a ton of speed if they want to be remotely competitive. It will only get tougher in August.

Not an excuse, but a side note:

The 69k car has a motor in it that was NOT built by Davey Brown for the first time in maybe ever. I was told they were trying out a Rider Engine package and so far, it has not been effective.

The team left after the first night and stated on twitter that the reason was they didn't have enough spare parts to replace everything that was broken on the car.

I'm rooting for these guys big time. I'd love nothing more than to see them run well. This trip may not be 100% indicative of their potential. This one is all about R&D. They're out there with the intent of figuring out what they need to do when August comes around. Anyone who thought they'd just go out there and barnstorm the place like they have in PA is a moron. The team themselves knew going out that this was gonna be far different than home and that showed big time last night. As Lance once said in an interview, PA tracks are much more "stop and go" than tracks in most other places. He said a lot of tracks outside PA are all about momentum and Knoxville is a prime example of that. It's a whole different ballgame and their program up to this point has never been built for that kind of thing. They're smart, talented and experienced. I don't think they'll win by any means but I think we'll see noticeable improvement tonight.
