Sprint Car Bandits Unveil “Fierce 15” Teams, Fan Fest & More for 2019!

>>We’re giving away 10 New 2019 SCB T-SHIRTS! Like and Share this post on our Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/SprintCarBandits.com - we’re drawing 10 winners! (Details on our FB post.)

Garland, Texas (11/13/18) by DarinShort.com.  The upcoming 2019 racing season for the NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series is going to feature several new fan- and driver-focused initiatives that will further add to the excitement and benefit level to all involved from race night to race night throughout the season. Let’s jump right in!

For the Drivers:

At a recent SCB drivers meeting, the new driver rewards program was announced, and at the conclusion of the meeting, 12 drivers immediately signed up for the new program.

Since then, another three drivers have committed to racing the 2019 SCB season, for a total of 15 teams, thus forming the Sprint Car Bandits “Fierce 15.” These drivers will receive monetary benefits from the new SCB merchandising program, along with another new driver rewards program called the Sprint Car Bandits 4-Pack Purse.

Any SCB rules-compliant and eligible drivers that are not part of the Fierce 15 will still be allowed to compete in any 2019 Sprint Car Bandits event, as in the past, with no registration or license fee, at any point in the season that they are available to race with the series.

All teams in attendance on race night will have the same rules, same sign in, formats; etc. whether they are a Fierce 15 team, or not, as long as they are SCB rules compliant, and this includes all sprint cars that are 360 cubic inch and under.

None of the 2019 Fierce 15 driver reward programs are based off performance. They are all based on those drivers’ support of the Sprint Car Bandits series itself.

The Sprint Car Bandits 4-Pack Purse consists short-term sponsor-added purses that will reward the Fierce 15 teams that compete in each “4-Pack” of completed events in the season. This way, regardless of weather impacts, whenever four events in a row are completed, Fierce 15 teams with perfect attendance during those four events will all equally divide up the Sprint Car Bandits 4-Pack Purse, again, regardless of performance. Then, the next Sprint Car Bandits 4-Pack Purse segment will begin; and so forth throughout the balance of the season.

We also have no issues whatsoever with any driver that chooses to race in the Sprint Car Bandits to race with whomever they like in whatever division they like throughout the racing season. This has been the case since the inception of the Series at the end of 2015.

There are no anticipated rules changes to the cars themselves. We have a couple of small procedural changes that will go into effect in 2019, as were discussed at the drivers meeting recently.

The race teams and fans have expressed how much they enjoy the existing Sprint Car Bandits rules package, which allows for more raceable cars all while lowering race team’s nightly operating costs – or without teams having to buy anything special to make it all happen.

109 sprint car teams from nine states competed in the series in 2018. There were 13 different feature winners in 16 events. Colby Estes of Mansfield Texas garnered the most points to become series champion. Drivers interested in the Sprint Car Bandits Fierce 15 program can contact [email protected] for additional information.

Meet the Fierce 15:

The following drivers make up the 2019 Sprint Car Bandits Fierce 15 and will be competing for added money for their support of the series:  Colby Estes, Michael Day, Claud Estes III, Dalton Stevens, Scott Evans, Chance McCrary, Dale Wester, Junior Jenkins, Brad Wesp, Josh Hawkins, Casey Burkham, Steve McMackin, Will Eggimann, Mark Zoeller and Mark Huddleston.

Fans can expect to see these drivers competing in 2019 Sprint Car Bandits series events, along with any eligible sprint car driver that chooses to on a night-to-night basis.

For the Fans:

Race fans can look forward to arriving an hour early to each Series event in 2019 and participate in Sprint Car Bandits Fan Fest. Each event will feature appearances by the Fierce 15 teams, along with the ability to purchase driver and series apparel and merchandise at the Series souvenir display.

The fans can meet with the Fierce 15 drivers, take selfies, get their t-shirts signed; etc. The general rule of thumb is that Sprint Car Bandits Fan Fest will be scheduled one hour previous to hot laps, lasting for 45 minutes. Then it’s off to the drivers meeting and racing.

The brand new 2019 Sprint Car Bandits series t-shirts will be available for sale at the Smiley’s Racing Products Texas Motorsport Expo in Mesquite Texas on Saturday, December 1st. We will also have the first round of Fierce 15 driver t-shirts for sale at the Expo. The Series and Fierce 15 merchandise will be available for sale on the www.SprintCarBandits.com website shortly thereafter. Click http://www.texasmotorsportexpo.com for compete Expo information, including times and directions.

We are also unveiling some of those new designs right now. Click www.Facebook.com/SprintCarBandits to check them out. More driver designs will be released as they are finished in production (some are still working on new wrap designs and sponsors).

And race fans, when you purchase one of the Fierce 15 driver t-shirts, that driver receives proceeds from the sale – which will provide an assist on keeping them funded throughout the racing season!

For the Tracks:

These new value-added components have no added cost or fee due from Series tracks. The Sprint Car Bandits Fan Fest will help attract fans to their speedways earlier where tracks can showcase their souvenirs, food, beverage and attractions.

Another new benefit for 2019 is that series tracks can take advantage of our SCB merchandising program for their souvenir stands. Tracks can contact the SCB for further details.

Speaking of tracks, we are still over three months away from the kickoff of the 2019 season and are in the middle of building the new schedule.

If your track is interested in hosting the Sprint Car Bandits, please email [email protected] as soon as possible, as dates are filling up. At the time of writing, we plan on having about the same number of events as in 2018 at tracks primarily in North Texas, East Texas and outlying areas.

We are in the process of renewing series marketing partners for 2019. If your business or service would like to be involved, just email us at [email protected] and we will get back to you at once. Several affordable and effective options are available.

We would also like to thank all of the 2018 Sprint Car Bandits series marketing partners, including: Eagle Powder Coating, Rodd Hanna's Air Performance, A&M Glass Service, Palm Harbor Homes, Kustom Craft Exhibits, Gen-Tech at FixYourGenerator.com, Mow Time in Farmersville, RockAuto.com, Pro-Tech Service Co., Scott Baylor Racing Engines, American Elevator Technologies, South Dallas Battery & Electric Co., Gary Floyd Homes, Utility Trailer of Dallas, Inc., DFW Urethane, Valvoline Express Care of Seagoville, www.ShopTheBOSS.com , www.DarinShort.com and the SCB points fund is sponsored by Smiley’s Racing Products & Hoosier Tire Southwest.

Thanks again to all the area race teams, tracks, sponsors and fans for their support of the NCRA Sprint Car Bandits series, and we’re really looking forward to bringing these new and exciting programs to everyone in 2019!

Click www.SprintCarBandits.com to keep up with the latest news and happenings with the series…and in the meantime, we wish you all a safe and enjoyable upcoming Holiday season!

It is cool to see that he is still racing, I remember him first getting into sprint cars at Jackson MN when I was just a young kid, if I remember right he was in Hobby Stock or Stock Car before that? Awesome to see he is still in it!

You are correct in all accounts racefanigan. And technically, it was the Hobby Stock division.

Will is the VP of a company in Dallas and has partnered with the Sprint Car Bandits season after Steve had to be sidelined by doctor's orders this summer.

He's a lot of fun to be around and work with on the Series...and we both grew up less than 20 miles apart (Will - Jackson MN, me - Spirit Lake IA), so we have that going for us too.

Interesting tidbit, Steve Lang (who co-founded the series with me) is originally from Minnesota as well.  Smile

Thats awesome! I grew up In Worthington MN, so I am sure we have run into each other at some point!  My dad owned sprint cars that ran jackson and Husets for years. Most recently we had Jody Rosenboom in our car up until my father stepped away in 2011. Travis whitney drove our stuff for a while in the early 2000s, we won the Jackson Nationals with him in 2003. Jesse Drost drove from 2004-2006.  Good times up around there!

racefanigan -

Things I miss up there:

-Michael's Steak House in Worthington (specifically onion rings and Chateaubriand)

-All of the fun stuff to do in the Iowa Great Lakes in the summer (restaurants, bars, lake activities, go karts, sweet corn & county fair season)

-All the great race tracks up there (I like all divisions of racing, heck we event went to the Figure 8 races regularly at Primghar)

-Being able to go 60 miles in any direction in 60 minutes (which is key going to races during weeknights and Sundays) and seeing all catching up with my racing buddies

What I don't miss up there:

-Winter and the short daytime hours (except for the years we raced snowmobiles)

>If you ever come down here, be watching our schedule and make sure to look me up at the track!
