ROA LEADS POINTS AS USAC/CRA SEASON HITS THE HOMESTRETCH!
(Cypress, CA, October 18) After a two week break in the racing schedule, Brody Roa and the B.R. Performance team will be back in action at Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday, October 20th, as the season reaches the homestretch with only six races to go. Heading into the race, he leads the USAC/CRA Championship standings by 30-points.
Roa’s last outings came at the “Hall of Fame Classic” at the Arizona Speedway where he recorded second and third place finishes over the two nights of racing in the Copper State. Those finishes extended his streak to eight straight races finishing in the top five in USAC/CRA competition. In those eight events, he has posted one win, four-second place finishes, one third, a fourth and a fifth-place. All told, he has 16 top-five finishes in 18 starts with USAC/CRA in 2018. Three of the top five have been victories. He has also scored two wins in the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series, one with the Ventura Racing Association Sprint Cars and even two with the So Cal Oval Karters.
In five USAC/CRA races at Perris Auto Speedway this year, Roa has recorded two second-place finishes, one third, one fifth and his worst finish of the season, an 11th on May 26th.
Once this weekend’s race is over, the season will be down to two multi-day shows. The 51st Western World Championship at Arizona Speedway on November 1st and 2nd and the 23rd Annual Oval Nationals at Perris Auto Speedway on November 8th, 9th and 10th. Both shows will feature full points paying races for the USAC/CRA and USAC National Sprint Car Series.’ Roa has contested nine National series races this season with a fifth-place finish at Iowa’s Knoxville Raceway on June 9th being his best result.
