Josh Schneiderman – A Three Race Illinois Swing

Des Moines, IA (September 21, 2018) – Josh Schneiderman and the Deuce Motorsports team capped off a three race weekend with a top-five at Quincy Raceway with the Sprint Invaders, after two up and down nights with the MOWA Sprints at Jacksonville Speedway and Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Illinois. The Deuce team will take this weekend off before returning to 34 Raceway in the World of Wheels #49 to finish off their season with two nights of action for the Sprint Invaders’ “360 Fall Haul”.

The weekend’s action kicked off on Friday at the Jacksonville Speedway, where Josh had a beneficial pill draw to start the night. “We drew well and were starting on the outside of the front row in our heat, but the polesitter drove over my front-end coming off turn four coming to the green,” said Josh. “That did some damage, mostly to the front wing, but we were able to move forward well after restarting from the tail. I was up battling for third when the nose wing flipped up and I couldn’t see where I was going and I held on for 5th.”

Relegated to the night’s B-main, “The Professor” would advance to the main event, though would end his night early in 21st to avoid any further mangled equipment. “Starting at the back of the feature, I didn’t feel there was a lot of opportunity to make our way forward on a pretty narrow racing surface,” said Schneiderman. “After a few laps, I pulled in to make sure we didn’t tear up any equipment with another couple of race nights left in the weekend.”

Pill draw on Saturday night at Spoon River Speedway would leave Schneiderman rolling off 8th in his heat in the Universal Therapy Group #49. Making a strong charge at the drop of the green flag, the run would be hampered by driver error. “We got off to a great start in our heat, but a couple of laps in I got sideways and had to restart from the tail,” said Josh. “Moving back up to finish 5th got us into the A-main, though it didn’t improve much there.”

After starting on the sixth row of the feature, Josh was running strong in the top ten, before dropping off the backstretch mid-race and finishing the night in 16th. “It just wasn’t a very good night at Canton,” said Josh.

Schneiderman and the Deuce Motorsports crew saved the best for last however, as Sunday’s Sprint Invaders event saw them battle near the front each time they took to the track. “We won our heat from the pole,” said Josh. “We didn’t move forward really in the dash, but the car felt good and left us starting on the second row of the feature.”

Rolling off 4th in the A-main, Josh would wind-up finishing in the same spot, after being in contention throughout the 25-lap main event. “The track was in great shape on Sunday,” said Josh. “Joe B. Miller, [Paul] Nienhiser, Cody [Wehrle], and I all stayed pretty close at the front throughout the race; we just couldn’t get around them, but it was a great race and the car felt good.”

“The Professor” will look to finish the season off strong with his final two nights of action this year at the “360 Fall Haul” with the Sprint Invaders at 34 Raceway!
