Saw this tweet from Destiny and found it interesting. They are at least comtemplating returning to the WoO Tour in 2019.  Wonder if the plan is to keep the partnership up with Brock? Hmmm...

He has run very well in that car, so if they are considering it I'd say he's the guy...

Brock has definitely ran very well since teaming up with them. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they're running the stuff Brock had with his family deal with a new number. That said, as well as they have done together, the WoO is a whole different animal. I think Brock has the talent to be out there but the question is, are they willing to stick it out a few years and let it all come together? Instant success isn't going to happen. They will struggle week in and week out and it will probably take awhile to get a win. His cousin Brent is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. He's getting better but it hasn't happened overnight. Wins are tough to get. Running consistently well is probably even harder. If they do it, I wish them all the best and if Brock is the driver, I'll be rooting for him. It would suck for us to lose another top driver from our area but it's a sign of the times. Central PA isn't what it used to be.

Agreed 100%. Next to Donny everyone looks slow. It will be up to them on how they will measure success. Maybe a win or two. Maybe consistent tops 10s. IDK But realistic expectations shouldn't be 20 wins and the points championship. I am sure they get that too. Iowa feels the pain too when top talents like Ian Madsen go outlaw or when Brown goes to FVP sponsored WoO events in the midwest. WoO seems strong and the desire to chase is high but it does take a slight toll on the local shows. Maybe some other locals will step and fill these shoes in both places. Its good to get new blood in the game.

If you have the finances the experience is priceless.

Would be in that 9th to 11th range in points assuming everyone comes back in 2019.

Mostly true, PPM took his chassis and engines with him when he left Destiny.  Destiny did own some of their own.  This from a crew member of another sprint car team that is close to PPM.

So if a driver has a chassis and an engine and sponsors why doesnt he just bolt all that stiff together and race on his own instead of looking around for someone to call his owner?

In this case what would an team owner provide to make the team functional that the driver doesnt have?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Hauler, team funds (gas, crew pay, insurance, etc.)

^+1^

It takes a lot more than just a car, engine and a driver to make a sprint car go. There is so much behind the sceenes work that most people dont realize that can be make or break for a team especially when it comes to traveling. Knowing where hotels and carwashes are that you can get a truck and trailer into is huge! Having a crew guy that can take over for the main truck driver when they are tired that actually can drive a semi is huge! Having a team owner that takes care of day to day operations and costs is a big deal. There are a lot of people that just throw money at sprint car racing without a plan, it's not as easy as everyone thinks.
