Noticed most of the field finished where they started.  Eliason passed 8 cars or so.  Is this track usually hard to pass on?  Was the track heavy or slicked off?  Thanks in advance

The track was pretty good and the heats were actually good. I think the lack of passing had more to do with the faster cars starting up front than anything else. Also the 305s have made the track slicker for the 410s which has helped the racing a lot, but due to the rain in the area, they had to run the 410s first.

Osky has always been a track tough to pass on. Although Knoxville was built in an attempt to copy this facility, the latter has always been racier. I've always guessed the composition of the dirt racing surface was different from my amateur analysis. I've had my shoes sucked off crossing the track after a night of racin at Knox. The surface at Osky seems more crumbly and less clay
