360C.I. RAZORBACK SPRINT CLASSIC Coming to TEXARKANA 67 SPEEDWAY Sat. JULY 14!

Texarkana, AR (7/6/18) by DarinShort.com. The 360C.I. NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) makes its series debut in Arkansas at the ¼ mile semi-banked Texarkana 67 Speedway next Saturday, July 14th at 8pm with the running of the Razorback Sprint Classic. The event will pay $1,500 to the 25-lap feature winners, $1,000 for second place and pays down generously to $300 to start (see below for complete breakdown). All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. There is no driver entry fee, no series membership fee and just a $15 nightly draw fee.

With this being the first SCB event in Arkansas, it opens up the door for another possible new series winner – and going in to this event, there have been 11 different SCB feature winners in 12 nights this season! More on that aspect of this event is posted later on in this press release.

Sprint car teams not familiar with SCB series rules should go to www.SprintCarBandits.com prior to arrival for complete rules and procedures information. The cost to prepare your 360C.I. (or less) sprint car for SCB competition is negligible and takes a couple of crew members a short amount of time to make their car legal.

Over 95 sprint car teams have competed in the Sprint Car Bandits series during 2018 alone, so here’s your chance to check out this rules package that has saved teams thousands of dollars since its inception three seasons ago.

25+year veteran sprint car driver, Claud Estes III comments: "The Sprint Car Bandits rules have kept the competitiveness level much more in check between sprint teams of nearly all budgets. Plus, it has made 360C.I. racing much more affordable, and that's why our family supports the series. I think it's been fantastic, and we get to compete for excellent purses at every event. Guys feel like they have a fighting chance at a good performance from track to track because they're not being out-budgeted thanks to the Sprint Car Bandits series rear tire rules and wing angle rules. We saved a lot of money just in tires competing with the Series the past two season."

2016 SCB runner-up in series points, Junior Jenkins comments: "We are a budget conscious team, and since we started racing with the Sprint Car Bandits two years ago, we have noticed a sizable difference in our net nightly cost vs. earnings, and it has helped keep us on the track. Plus, I feel it has substantially closed the gap in the competition, giving more drivers a fighting chance."

Evidence of the above quote is the fact that in 2018 there have been 11 different Sprint Car Bandits series feature race winners in 12 events! With the vast amount of fast sprint car teams in the state of Arkansas, it’s possible an ‘invader’ could pick up a win at this event keeping the title of Razorback Sprint Classic winner out of the hands of one of the ‘Bandits regulars…we’ll just have to wait until July 14th to see who joins in on the fun!

Note all sprint car teams that sign in will draw for heat race starting positions, regardless of their engine C.I. displacement (360 or under) and will receive passing points to determine their straight-up from points feature race starting position. All SCB legal teams will compete for the same posted purse regardless of C.I. displacement (360 or under).

Texarkana 67 Speedway is located at 10641 E Broad St, Texarkana, AR 71854 and is quite easy to get to. Take the 'Hwy 108' exit off I-30 (exit 7, which is 7 miles from the Arkansas border – the Flying J is on the opposite side of intersection), then head south on Hwy 108 about 3/4 mile until it dead ends at Broad Street – also known as Hwy 67. Head east (left) on Hwy 67 and you will run into the track in about 2.8 miles. The track entrance will be on your left (north). Click texarkana67speedway.godaddysites.com for the track webpage. The first green flag on Saturday July 14th is slated for 8pm.

Texarkana 67 Speedway is racing the night before (July 13th) as well, with: IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Southern Sport Mods (full show) plus Factory Stock, Hobby and 4-Cylinder FWD (heats only). The Saturday night portion will include features for the Factory Stocks paying $1000 to win, Hobby Stocks $750 to win and 4-Cylinders $500 to Win.

Sprint Car Bandits teams are also welcomed to practice on Friday, July 13th during the 67 Speedway racing program.

SPRINT CAR TEAM BONUS: If you are one of the first two sprint teams that would commit to displaying their sprint car in front of the grandstand on Friday night July 13th from 5pm until race time, those two teams will each receive (3) free pit passes for the July 13th practice night for the sprint teams.
