I feel dumb asking this-----I have been going to Knoxville for the last 16 years.  However, I have always taken my camper and walked to the track.  Always.  My son and I got a room in Newton, so we will be driving in for the day.  Going to arrive around 3:00 in the afternoon in Knoxville.  Where is the best place to park at that time so the car can stay parked until after the races?  I've never had to find a parking spot  Smile

When my wife and I went, we parked across the street at the Hy-Vee(spelling) parking lot.  I believe the boy scouts, or something like that, do that and they charge 5 bucks?  Cant remember and prices may have changed.

There are also two lots just south of Dingus and the railroad tracks. I'm not sure if someone will be collecting cash at that time though. You can also park on the fairgrounds. Normally parking is $5 however I'm assuming it'll be higher this weekend.

+1 to this. Have always parked there. Easy enough to get in and get out.

There are several home owners on the south street alongside HyVee that offer parking also. Usually around $5.00 for a weekly show. And if when you leave you drive east to the corner and then north a block (or two) and turn back west you'll be back at Hwy#14 and the stop and go lights will help you to blend in and head back north to Newton.

Thanks all.  I see all of the parking spots during the Nationals.  Just didn't know if same type of parking arrangements were available for this weekend's show or not.

Thanks!
