Have 305s ever run at Belleville (I know this particualr event is the first, just wondeirng if 305s have ever run there in general)?  Serious question cause I don't know.  Wonder if that track would be a bit too "big" for 305s, but then again they run at Kville every week.

I know no more midget nationals cause there was some concern at USAC about the speed and danger of the track for midgets, especially in light of BC.

URSS sprints have raced there for years as a support class for the midgets........last 4th of July weekend, there was an SSN / URSS co-sanctioned Racesaver show that was very competitive......Toby Chapman (the current Racesaver track record holder at Eagle Raceway) picked up the win.......wish it wasn't the same weekend as the 360 Nationals at Knoxville (our driver has previous committments there with his 360)......this 1st annual event should be a great show with ALOT of cars for big $$$........3 weeks later on labor Day weekend,  the 6th Annual Racesaver IMCA Sprint Nationls at Eagle Raceway (which had 117 entries last year from 15 states)   with a higher total purse (but only $2500 to win, but a smaller drop on back....2400 for 2nd, 2300 for 3rd, 2250 and a $50 per spot drop back to $1250 for 27th and plenty of bonus and contingency cash and product........Jason Martin is the defending champion of that event........then two weeks later, the Jackson 305 special in Minnesota...... 3 great midwestern  events in 6 weeks......Racesaver 305 racing is alive and well........SC
