Don't forget that the Rumble in the Bullring is just over 2 weeks away!!

We at Eagle Raceway decided that in order to bring the VERY BEST of sprint car racing to all of the fans that we would swing open the gates of America's Home Track early this season to showcase both styles of sprints; winged and non-wing. The Lucas Oil/POWRI WAR Sprint Car League will headline the March 31st show with the Racesaver IMCA Sprint Cars also on the bill.

If you're a big follower of the traditional sprints, or if you've never seen them before, this is a must-see event!!! Backin' it in barely describes the fantastic action that they provide.

Front gates will open at 4:15, hot laps kick off at 4:30 with racing beginning at 5:30. Front gate admission is just $18 for adults, $5 for those 6-12 with kids 5 and under free.

Pit gates will open at 2:30 with pit passes costing $30.

Weather is looking better than it was yesterday....starting to get hopeful enough to see if I can talk anyone into riding along so we can head home instead of to a hotel.

Yep! Very little chance of R in the forecast. It's going to be a great night at Eagle Raceway!!!

Don't want to R on your parade, but all 3 TV stations out of Omaha and both the Lincoln and Omaha papers forecast 10 to 30% chance of R on Saturday.  The good news is, the chance is for early in the day.  Highs in the upper 40's to lower 50's early in the day, overcast with 20 mph wind out of the NW.  Not great drying weather.  Oh, and if you check the National Weather Bureau, they're calling for a chance of snow overnight with a low of 23.  A little to cold for me--I'm the guy in the stands with a smile on my face when the temps get over 90.

"Thanks" for the input Justin.  If it's dry we'll race.  If it isn't we won't., doubt there's much more too it.  Racing in March in Nebraska is an iffy thing.  I've no doubt Roger understands that.  The show starts at 5:30 Saturday afternoon.  With only 3 classes racing we'll be done LONG before the low temp is reached Sunday morning.  It'll be brisk for sure, but the fans who've been looking forward to race season starting will be there.  You can always check it out on IMCA.tv if you'd like.  To be clear if we race I'll be happy because I get to spend the night at the track.  If we don't I'll be alright too, because I'll still be hanging out with a great bunch of folks at the track.  We're going to have fun either way.

Sadly, due to the forecast we and US 36 Raceway were forced to cancel the 2 nights of the Rumble in the Bullring.

Both tracks are working dilligently to try and get this great even rescheduled, so keep an eye out here and on the Eagle Raceway and US 36 Raceway Facebook pages.
